Have fun, Ann! Have you met them before or is this the first meeting?
I'm going to Sunday school only b/c I have to teach; otherwise I'd avoid going.
Need to finish the laundry and cleaning the house. Going to see what mom's hospital schedule is today - will be going there too.
Ann don't you know its dangerous to meet people from the internet??!! LMAO!
It was dh's b-day yesterday and he requested his usual cake-chocolate with chocolate icing. I decided to look for a death by chocolate recipe. OMG! I found a really easy one that had cake mix, chocolate pudding, sourcream, chocolate chips and a ton of eggs. Then I found a chocolate ganache recipe that was even more easy. Dh was impressed and everyone is looking at it this morning as a breakfast treat. LOL
Off to church and then wait for the monster weather change we are supposed to get from the mid-west.

so glad you had that great one on one time with your dad, renee. :)
ya'll made great memories, i'm sure
ann, glad you had a good time. :)
amy, that cake sounds great! i've got a recipe that's a choc. marble with yellow cake mix, choc. syrup, choc. chips and sour cream i think. haven't made it in years but now i'm getting a craving.
not sure how sd is - did hear that his niece came to see him and when he saw her, he asked if her dh came with her. wow!
i'm waiting for my loony mom to make a decision already on when she wants to go down and if i'm taking her or picking her up. she's the WORST at making decisions and when you ask, she goes into "well, you have so much going on .... you have so many places you need to be..... i don't want to bother you". Grrr. I'm going sometime anyway mom, tell me if I'm going to take/pick up or even see you. :grimace:

Jen, continued prayers for your sd. Let us know how he is today when you get back.
Went to church and now trying to get myself in gear to go upstairs and re-arrange our bedroom furniture (or shall I say direct dh on where to move it). lol But there are so many things to be cleared out of there and a lot of little things I could be doing. Not sure how the best arrangement will be yet but we'll figure it out.
Kids have homework later. Not much else for today.
I did take the few bins I have of baby clothes out of the crawl space yesterday. I do have more than I thought as far as sweater sets and pj's my mom made. But so much I lent to sil and I still have not recieved anything from them back. I split a lot of my stuff between 3 people, giving each a different instruction on what I wanted back. My brother was told that all I wanted back was the winter snuggli. After they were done with it, I asked that it be sent to our other db so they could use it and they never sent it. I'm hoping they think enough of the ton of stuff I sent them to send me back this one item. Sil, I only asked for the cradle back and it's in poor condition (an expensive cradle that was in mint condition when it left my hands). We now have it back and dh has to sand it down and fix it. Sil and my db, I sent tons of stuff and said I do not want anything store bought back, it's all replaceable. BUT there was a lot of handmade stuff from an aunt of dh's, my mom and mil and others. I sent this stuff months in advance so they had it and could see what they still had to get. I've had to ask for it a few times and still no sign of it. I am so dissappointed in people, I bent over backwards to ship stuff out, went through a ridiculous amount of boxes and bags and took them from others and went through and even washed some up before shipping and this is what I get back. So far, nada. All I care about now is the stuff my mom made because all of the boys wore/used it and I want it back for this one. I don't want to be going through boxes a week before I'm due. ugh! Anyhow, sorry didn't mean turn into a vent. I've made a list this am of things I have to buy this am and it was on my mind. Ds3 was so excited last night to see the tiny baby clothes. He has even picked out favorites for ds4. It was so cute to see him so excited over clothes. LOL He keeps talking about how he can't wait to hold the baby and kiss him 'forever'. :tinysmile
Hope you all have a nice Sunday :)

To make the decision easier for your mom, maybe you could say, I can either take you at 11 or at 4, which is better for you?

Our company didn't leave until a little after 12:30 last night. We had a lot of fun, played cards as we caught up with each other... and did a lot of laughing. We went out and ate at Red Lobster... love that place. (their coconut shrimp is to die for) One couple got called away for a while. LOL Their 19 year old dd was sitting/watching tv and happened to see a mouse scurry across the floor and just about lost it. :biglaugh: She had to called mom/dad to come home and rescue her. They picked up a few traps on the way home, set them up and came back over to our house when they were finished. Kids... no matter what age they are. LOL
We went out to Perkin's for breakfast this morning, then swung on over to Menard's to pick up some more dry wall, tape and a bunch more crap we need for the bathroom. LOL I've got to go to Hallmark to get future SIL a birthday cared. I've been hanging onto dd's card/gift waiting for her to decide when they both have time off at the same time so we can get together to celebrate both of their birthday's. Not much else planned for the rest of my day though. I've got two shows I recorded (House and Men in Tree's) that I didn't have time to watch yet so will probably veg out upstairs and watch them.
Hope you all have a good day!

yes, i could have. but i'm working along with a ss whose schedule i don't know, but mom does, so it seemed easier for mom to just tell me what the schedule was and get on with it. :) which we did.
just got home. he is improving and they are hoping to move him tomorrow or the next day which will be wonderful.
he's talking somewhat and has the NG tube feeding him.
he doesn't know where he is (he told his son he was in delaware LOL) and has obviously lost track of the days.
he asked about dd and told us some of the visitors he'd had.
he recognized the minister when he arrived.
when i told him goodbye he looked at me and said "where's Jennifer?"
:(
