That is horrible. I nearly cried when I read about her husband saying she was his girl. So sad.

I also am surprised no one knew about the danger, especially when a nurse called in to warn them. I remember when ds1 was a baby, I read somewhere that you even have to be careful with the kids when they swim because they could swallow too much water.

Until this happened I had never heard of anything like this. How awful... I can't believe they were warned and continued on with the competition.
