It is quite chilly today, but that is okay. We had it so lucky this winter.

I was reading the newspaper and my jaw dropped. There was a horrendous pic of me from 3 years ago front and center of the entertainment/recreation page. My former SIL was a photographer with the newspaper and we were at the park to get a photo of DD and these chickadees who land on your hand to be fed. These stupid birds are so overfed from all the visitors that it was near impossible. One landed on me for an instant and she shot the pic. I had no makeup on or even showered :sick: I guess the pic was archived and it appears today to showcase a festival there this weekend. ACK!

cold but now ice. having everyone home yesterday really screwed up my chores so now i have more laundry and house cleaning to do. grrr

Amy... I can imagine how surprised you must have been to see your picture in the paper. LOL Why can't things like this ever happen when you're all dressed up... with makeup? It's always when you walk out the door thinking you won't bump into anyone you know that the photographer shows up. (although I'm sure you looked great)

It's cold (14) outside but not as cold as it has been... so I guess it could definitely be worse. At least we don't have all the ice everyone else seems to be getting. Watching the footage on tv... can't believe anyone would even try driving in it. Car's sliding and crashing all over the place. :rolleyes:

Dh's networking morning, so was up early. Made the bed, made coffee. I finally folded a load of laundry that's been sitting in the dryer for a couple of day's now, and have a few more loads to do. I'm going to try to get over to see one of my friends this afternoon if she's not too busy. She does day care and usually appreciates the help I give while I'm there, so I'm sure she won't turn me away. LOL Not much else on the agenda.

Idol was a little strange last night...sorry for those in Seattle, but what a bunch of characters....I have never seen so many odd balls in one spot in my life....too funny...I one gal with the overly blonde hair, she SOOOO needed a BRA...OMG...I nearly peed myself.

Been real busy around here and fight some sinus thing...Think it's the weather changes. It's freaking cold out. Man I wish I had an auto starter. Luckily my car warms fast.

Had a great time with my friend this weekend. Nothing else to exciting...Just work today and hoping for a snow day tomorrow. May go to work alittle early today cause we have an open house Sunday...so we need to have the rooms spiffy.

A friend stopped by today and before I knew it it was time to get the boys from school. Felt good to have my house all cleaned and nothing to do, but I wished I could have gotten a nap in. (Pathetic, huh? LOL) Oldest ds has bball practice tonight and my sis and her familiy will be in town for my nephew's hockey game tonight, but it's not until 8:15 and I think we'll skip it. I feel bad, but it snowed today and the roads weren't that great when I got the boys and it's really been blowing around since then.....plus, I am just tired beyond belief. :\

I am so ready for bed. My stomach has really been killing me this week. Went home early Tuesday and wanted to today, but I hung in there only to then develop a headache. Took a perscription and now I'm so incredibly sleepy. Thought I'd check in here and then hit the bed.

I'm sick of this weather. We got 7 inches of rain over the weekend. Colder than heck, but thankfully no freezing. But we've had to keep the kids in all week because of the wind chill. Finally let them go out for 15 minutes this afternoon. It was a toss up: run the risk of them getting too cold or the teachers strangling them. We chose to let them get cold. They didn't seem to mind.

I have an interview in KC on Feb. 3. Wish me luck. Hopefully I won't have to cancel because of weather.
