Oh I am so jealous! Today's high was a freaking 28 degrees. If it's going to be that cold, I at least want some snow with it! :tinysmile

We got about 3 inches... so it's not bad. I swear though, our schools hardly ever close. it was -17 the other morning, windchill of -32 and they were still open. :)

My boss sent me home early because the snow was getting close to where I live. At work it was sunny, bright, and COLD. Here (15 miles away) it's snowing like crazy and COLD. It's really stacking up already. We had a snow day yesterday (but I still had to go in), and at this rate tomorrow's looking like another....They've forecast up to 2 feet overnight for our area. We'll see. Dd2 is working till 9. I hope they'll send her home or she'll crash at someone's house up there.
I just KNEW winter would have to get here eventually. LOL

We don't close often either. I think we had a 2 hour delay Monday morning more for the fact that we won the Superbowl. Our largest school district closed because so many bus drivers called in sick on Monday morning. It was just as cold this morning and we went to school. The snow is still coming down and traffic is a mess, they had a 36 car pile up on one busy interstate and it isn't even "rush hour" yet. I'm glad the busses came early and not in the middle of all that!
The kids are back inside now warming up, they did shovel the driveway, but it is recovered with snow already, lol. Brichard came home early today too!
I don't know where this snow is headed, but I'm guessing Amy and Cathy are next, lol.
:bawling: :bawling: :bawling: :bawling: :bawling: It's 80 degrees. I'm sitting here in shorts dying of jealousy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :bawling: :bawling: :bawling: :bawling: :bawling:

 It's -17 right now, not counting the windchill. Sorry honey, I don't feel sorry for you! LOL I would love to be sitting outside on my swing not wanting to do anything because of the heat and listening to the kids splash around in the pool. That seems so far away! LOL
Sorry honey, I don't feel sorry for you!
:nahnah: So much for sympathy! I guess it's not so bad now, but this is just foreshadowing summer when it'll be 30+ degrees hotter!!! 8o 8o 8o That's what I'm not looking forward to. It just sucks sometimes that we don't have a longer break from the heat. The 80 degrees is enough to make me start dreading what's to come. Kind of the reverse of you all with the cold. Do you start dreading the winter once the cool of fall comes? Or am I just weird? (Dont' answer that! )

My van read 4 degrees while I was running around this morning. The snow is pretty and very bright with a cloudless sunny sky. I wish we could have snow when it is hot outside. Is that bizarre or what!! lol

LOL I would love to live somewhere hot and sunny all year. To me it seems so wrong that Canada doesn't have somewhere like that. lol I know a lot of people who look forward to the winter (my mother) and a lot of people in the spring say, I'd be happy if the weather stays like this when it's very warm but not hot and a slight breeze going. And then you have me where I am already dreading next winter! rofl I'm a cold weather wuss. I don't mind the fall if the wind isn't really cold but I am always sad to see summer end. I try to be careful and not complain about the heat no matter how hot it is because I know it's short lived. :)

Sounds like you and I could do a house swap! Everything you said about cold, winter, summer and heat... I'm the complete opposite! I know exactly what you mean.
Mel, I'm with you. I want consistently warm/hot weather. I'd like the seasons to go, Spring, Summer, Fall, Summer, Spring, Summer, Fall, Summer, etc. and skip winter all together.
Renee, don't you find it hard to think of us all where it's cold? I know when I was away a couple of weeks ago, it was even hard for me to think of it being cold back here in Canada when I'd only left it a day or two before.
