My Surprise!!

I checked in for a few minutes yesterday, but didn't get much chance to post. As I was reading the board I thought I heard music coming from upstairs so went to investigate, figured dd forgot to turn her stereo off. The music was coming from my room, and wasn't just any music, but the music from my wedding.
I peeked inside and found dh, sitting on the bed, along side a dozen long stem red roses, a cart with "non-alcoholic" champaign on ice and two glasses and our wedding video playing. He just looked up grinned and said "honey, I'm home".
I just stood there and stared at him in total shock. I wasn't expecting him back until friday night. He somehow managed to get off work early and came home for my birthday. The dk's were a little bummed about being shuffled off the 'Nana's ' for the night, but he promised them a family party on the weekend.

needless to say, I had a wonderful B'day :Party::heart:

How sweet!!! Talk about making your wife melt!

Our anniversary was last week so dh got me a big comfy throw pillow on sunday, pink rose on monday, three white roses on tuesday, a dozen red roses on wednesday, Gladiator soundtrack on thursday, and friday saturday and sunday we spent at a B & B cottage in millersburg OH. Each day he gave me a few silly little gifts that were symbolic like masking tape, thermometer, air freshener, fishing lure, etc... And he gave me a pair of pearl earings I had wanted last year... thought he had forgotten about them. :) I couldn't beleive he was so romantic!!! I think guys really do have it in them but sometimes they just don't know how to show it...

Ok ann now don't laugh at me and exclaim about how young I am and how much you feel like a dino... lol

3 years... we got married on June 20 1998. 1 year after our first date. :)

We even went canoeing on the Mohican river and tipped over bc dh the master canoer ( he really is pretty good at it) wanted to canoe around an island in the river and couldn't decide which way to go... Did get me over my fear of tipping canoes though... lol

now, why would I say you were young, just cause my kids were 9 and 4 when you got married and I had been married for 14 years by then.....why would I say that???? :newwink:
