A water main broke down the street this morning and my basement is full of water. Lucky for me there isn't to much down there right now and most of what is there is in rubbermaid boxes. If it seeps through as far as the laundry room I could have trouble, but seems to be draining off again.

Oh no! I've never had trouble at home, but at school in the old building our ceiling leaked. Once it was so bad that all my construction paper and bulletin board material was ruined. I started using rubbermaid after that. Now we are in a new building so maybe I'll be good till retirement. :lol:

Oh no is right! Ugh! My former boss once had 4 feet of water when a city water main broke also! They said they literally had a geyser of sewer water shooting out of their toilet!! We have had water before in our basement and it's the pits!!!! I hope it dries up for you guys soon. Do you have fans running to help dry it? It's a pain in the rear, isn't it? Good luck! :)

The water is pretty much dried up now, but what a mess. dh and ds went down in their rubber boots friday night and were plalying with ds' boats. Glad somebody enjoyed it. lol
