While Dawn was here she was laying on the floor watching tv with Sarah... she felt a pretty large lump in her stomach, to the right of her belly button. To me, it almost felt like a liquid filled balloon. :( Anyway... she got on the computer and she was able to make an appointment and get in right away. (at 3:00) So... if you could please keep her in your thoughts and prayers, I would certainly appreciate it. Thanks...

Sorry but... :biglaugh: :biglaugh: It was her BLADDER!! She's lost sooo much weight... (which she can't really afford to do) she's like a rail, so she can feel all kinds of things... that (her bladder) included. So anyway... I'm relieved, and so is she. Thanks to all...

Well... I'm concerned, but I guess it's one of the side affects of the medication she went on for her anxiety. It makes her stomach feel sick/nauseous, leaving her with absolutely no appetite. She's always had issues with her weight... she was a very thin baby and it just continued on into adulthood. She's the type who could eat and eat and eat... and it would never show. So anyway... I too am glad it was something that belonged there. I had to laugh when she came home and told me it was just her bladder. I think she was a little embarrassed. LOL :)

So glad she is okay!

Do you know what medication she is on? Could they switch her to something else??

She's been on others, but they always seem to leave her feeling even more anxious... jittery/jumpy, unable to function. ?( I can't remember which one she's on... if I heard it I'd probably remember, but it's just not registering with me right now. :)

Wellbutrin? Effexor? Paxil? Celexa?

Anyway they could do try two different meds that do the same thing as the one? Is her dr not concerned about her weight???

Dawn's always been very thin... she always been able to eat and eat and eat, and never gain a pound. (she only weigh's 110) The heaviest she's even been is when she was pregnant with Sarah. I don't think the doctor is too concerned because if he looked back at her records he'd see that she's always been a thin person, it's nothing new. It's just that she's lost, I think she said about 10 pounds since she's gone on this medication. I "think" it's Paxol, but not positive. She definitely needs to be on something, and so far she said this is the only one that hasn't made her feel all jumpy and shakey. She's started out on a low dose and is suppose to increase it as she goes... so I'm nervous about how awful she's going to feel after she's taking a higher dose. I really wonder what makes people so anxious like this. Shelly has some anxiety issues, but nothing close to what Dawn is going through. I feel so helpless watching her go through this... :(

Diane - Got it. I knew from other posts that she has always been thin - just didn't think she could 'afford' to lose any more, but I am guessing those around her are keeping a good eye on her. :) Hope she can work thru the anxiety issues. :(

Were all keeping a pretty close eye on her. She too is/was concerned about her weight loss, which is one of the reason's why she went off from the medication. She said she's already getting her appetite back, but has one heck of a headach from the withdrawls of the pills. Now all she's got to do is learn how to live and deal with the anxiety, which I feel she is already doing much better with. She's reading a book that seems to be helping her a lot, and she seems to be more aware of how people like her, who suffer from extreme anxiety issues thinks, (like everyone is against her) and feels. She's beginning to realize that what she's thinking/feeling isn't always the way it is (such as Mickey's friend) She also realizes that she's the only one who can change what she thinks, or allows herself to feel. She realizes that she has to start trying to look at things in a more positive way instead of always being so negative all the time. What's so funny is that she always considered herself to be a very positive person... and thought it was everyone else who was being so negative... and she was surprised to learn that it is her who is the negative one. Everyone else could see it, but not her. LOL I think she's taken some huge steps in trying to help herself get through this. The mere fact that she's even talking with me about it is a huge step, and hopefully the beginning of something good for her, and everyone else.

So, is she totally off her meds? Does her dr know she is doing that? I did that once with one and the withdrawal was horrific!! :\ I am glad she is talking to you and sharing what she is going thru.

That confused me too, but I didn't say anything since I was already confused over her car chase post. LOL
I thought she was on a med, which you couldn't remember the name of, but then you say she's having the headache from the withdrawals... I'm confused again. lol

bless her heart! it can be a vicious circle too. sometimes the meds can make the negative thoughts worse.
is she in therapy? that could help so much.

now, could i have the name of that drug that made her not want to eat and lose weight? i could kill two birds with one stone...work on my depression AND lose weight! LOL

Too bad it never works that way for the fat girls. LOL!
Hope she's feeling better soon, I know what it's like to be in a depression that requires medication.
