Mother's Day

Ok, what are you Mother's day plans?

I send MIL flowers and a card...A card to my God mother and step mom.

What do you all do for Mother's day? Do you have traditions?

We'll definitely get a gift/card for MIL and stop to see her, but my sister's b-day is the Monday (14th), and my BIL has invited us for dinner/cake on Mother's Day to help her celebrate.

I am getting a bunch of new plants for my mom's yard. I don't know what we'll do for mil yet? We are flying out on Mother's Day for North Carolina so I don't know if I'll get to see my mom or not.

Sending both mom and mil cards with gift cards inside.

We won't be able to see either one this year on Mother's Day.

going over to some friends for a cookout/swim party; their mothers are dead too. no one to send a card too mil doesn't celebrate it cause that's the day dh's brother was killed.
not a big day around this household.

Thinking about asking dh and the kids to take me to our favorite Italian restaurant...I introduced my dh to my parents there, and we had our wedding rehearsal there too....

Maybe a drive along the coast...

No idea what we'll get my mom - she is so hard to buy for! :tearhair: Have a gift bought for my step mom, but not sure when I'll get it to her and need to get a card sent off to my gma.

My day - no idea what it will bring - probably just hang out with the kids. A picnic sounds kind of fun if it's nice and I don't have to make any of the food. ;)

Ok, last night Dh asked if I wanted to go to dinner at the Italian restaurant I have mentioned before.....and take a ride to the Cemetery to visit mom. How sweet is that. I hate to be a downer on Mother's Day. But since he and the kids offered...OK sounds good to me.
