ds wants to run when he gets home from school, so i guess i am doing that.
the usual stuff, laundry ect.
Do you run with him? That is cool!
I have a couple of errands to run. I am also trying to plan a trip to Disney World for dd for her b-day. Yeah, that is extravagant, but I want to go one last time too. LOL PLUS, ds has no urge to go (sensory overload) and dh doesn't want to go either. So it would be a girl's trip and I can get good deals by staying at the military resort and buying their discount tickets. I need to reconcile that in my head though-to pay that much money for just the two of us. As I get older, I am finding that I am more neurotic about spending money. LOL

Amy, at the risk of sounding like an American Express commercial, lol, you cannot put a price on memory making. Do it! Do it without guilt and enjoy every minute! She'll love it! :)

I am giggling to myself because I answered your question on the other thread and it makes it as if I am on a doomsday kick. ROFL I just have big dreams and a cheap wallet. I will plan the trip to Disney though.

you sure are in a cherry mood!!!
i think the disney trip is a great idea. dd and i still talk about our trip to chicago. i can't wait till she is 16 and i surprise her with her trip to NYC (hopefully, i wont be too old to enjoy it!)
Morning, must be a mother/daughter trip day, I called American Girl in Los Angeles yesterday, we are going for her 10th birthday...just us girls and her doll.
I think she will be surprised, her birthday is on a Monday, in July, so it will be fun to not go to work or Summer camp and hit L.A. I was even thinking of taking the Metro link so we could chit chat and relax more on the way to and from....but well see...
Ds wants to go to Universal Studio's this year for his 12th b-day, that will be a whole family trip, thankfully I don't have to worry about hotels since it's within driving distance.
Actually I like that they aren't wanting Parties this year.
Work, home for some dinner and TV with the family....

Not much. I'm washing all the candle votives we used for the wedding. Dd's going to try to sell those, along with all the scoops we used for the candy buffet. I'm also left with many glass containers and I have no clue what to do with those... maybe a garage sale is in order? LOL Finishing up my laundry... I should, and probably will pick my mom up and take her to the grocery store. She said she only needs one thing... I wish she'd just walk down there but... ?( we'll see. Don't like to complain but... gurrr. She also left her jacket at Country Buffet last Sunday when my sister/neices and nephews took her out for breakfast, and that's all I've heard about ever since, :) so I've got to try to get there and pick it up for her. She's been sooooo incredibly crabby/verbal lately and has been driving me absolutely crazy. LOL  I have some left over food I've got to deliver to dd #2, and also some for my mom... so that will be first thing I do today. I've got no more room in my refrigerator, so that's my #1 thing I want/need to do.
Not much else... Hope you all have a good day!

Morning all!
Trying to decide how I feel.....Think I'm up for work.....Got some voice back...just a goopy cough.
Supposed to be beautiful out the next few days...so hopefully fresh air will clear this up.
ok so Anyway...I know I've been slacking here and I'm sorry....I miss you all....just haven't been up for reading through it all. I feel so out ouf touch...LOL.
Hope ya all have a great day!
Home from work and need to get some cookies baked for dh to take to some thing for work. Nothing on TV for us tonight.
Bunch of laundry, bunch of last minute stuff for the girl's International Days tonight. Why do I encourage them to do last minute projects??? Why can't I leave well enough alone??? Dd2 is now doing a small diorama of an Egyptian tomb and dd1 is making a fake Greek vase. :bawling: I was hoping for a quiet day today, lol!
Amy, go for it! :D
Vea, I hope you feel better!

ROFL...
Hey, if I'm not too old when your dd turns 16, can I meet ya'll in NYC?
I had the morning off since I knew I'd be tired from being out late last night. The concert was great/fun...it was nice for us girls to get out together.
I hung laundry out this a.m, cut the back grass, did some repair gardening in the front, picked up a few groceries, and walked to dh's work to pick up my car (his was in front of me when I pulled in last night and I thought it'd be a nice walk since I'd have to go to his work to pick up my parking permit any way)...now we'll see if he walks home or if he calls me to come pick him up :) .

Good thing you didn't work this morning, Bev! :newwink:

Ava had speech therapy this morning. She cried the second she saw the therapist. lol Poor baby. She has major anxiety when she sees anyone other than me/dh/dd1/ds. She has learned from all of her hospitalizations/doctor visits that anybody other than us is here to mess with her, give her shots, etc....With her cardiologist yesterday, all it took was hearing his voice, and she was wailing. I sure hope this doesn't last forever.
Dd won tickets to a local minor league baseball game. Dh is taking her and a friend to see it tonight. I will stay home with the other kids and get dd1 packed for camp tomorrow.
Have a great day all!

that's what i was thinking! LOL
Beth, no wonder she's nervous of others...she's been through a lot.
Pam/Ann...I was wondering as I was doing all this work this a.m. when I'd have done it if I didn't take the time off, lol. I was hoping to sleep in, but my BIL came by very early on his way into work (woke me up knocking on the door) to fill me in on some plans for my sister's b-day get-together this Sunday :grimace: . I did manage to go back to bed until shortly after ds left for school, but I really don't think I slept.

My baby is 5 years old today AND I enrolled her in kindergarten this afternoon. How's that for a day to make a dear old mother cry??!! rofl!!
I've been running around getting things for dd's cupcakes/ice cream get together today. Had breakfast with a friend this morning too.
Have a great rest of your day!

:) Sarah was the same way for a long time. Now that she's had more positive, fun visits... she doesn't seem to mind going anymore, and sometimes will actually ask to go. Her feeding clinic therapist's name is Brenda, and she really really likes Brenda, so now she's constantly asking Dawn if she can go to "Brenda's House" to eat. LOL She's also quite the social butterfly because of all the people she's had to deal with. :) It's funny how she can recognize a voice and react to it without even seeing who it is. LOL Pretty smart... :)
Long day, I am beat, Idol is on, can't believe "Staying Alive" is 30 years old. Melinda will win tonight for sure.
She can sing, but she still bugs me.
Have a nice evening all.
Angie Happy Birthday to your Baby!

I packed up a bunch of leftovers and brought them over to my mom's house. While I was there I decided to run her over to the grocery store so she could pick up her roast (buy one get one free) and some tomato juice. Her quick trip and only needing a few items turned into 50 minutes... and two big bags full of groceries. :biglaugh: She was at least in a much better mood, and I didn't mind being around her at all today. Thing is... once you're there and she's got you, she makes it incredibly hard to leave. LOL I know she was wanting to "do lunch", but I still had to get over to Kristi's, and I didn't want to make a full day out of delivering food... so I made my apologies and left. Surprisingly... she was still in a very good mood when I called her tonight. LOL I'm thinking my sister (bless her heart... :) ) might have said something to her about her crabby mood... whatever it was that caused the change, it was a welcomed change. LOL
Shelly/Bob came over this morning after I got back home and took some of the extra candy I had off my hands. They divided it evenly and brought it to their work places. Shelly works at a hotel so plans on keeping a candy dish on the front desk for their customers. I guess all the cops that Bob works with have a pretty sweet tooth (you can tell by looking at them... ) so they were pretty excited with they saw Bob bringing all the leftover candy through their front door. :) I'm trying to get things back in order and back to normal after the wedding. Got my laundry all done, so now tomorrow I can concentrate on my floors. I'd love to get the carpets in the living room clean... but I think I'll wait on that until dh can do it. I'd also like to start stripping the wallpaper off the walls in our office. It's so outdated... I'd just love to get started on it now that the bathroom is all done. Gotta keep myself busy. :)
Hope you all had a great day!!!

Be sure to check out the site Renee mentioned for cheap flights. I saw some roundtrip tickets for $162 to FL that I should have booked!!!

You know I would take ya-but I think you have gone more times than me!:goofy:
I saw some tickets for $216. Flying out of Upstate NY is one of the most expensive places to fly out of. No freaking idea why. LOL
We turned 180 degrees from Disney (for now) and am turning my attention towards a family trip to Hawaii in Feb 2008. I am so overwhelmed at the thought of putting something like that together and if it is even doable with my budget. I might look into a travel agency to sort it out for me. Trust me, I will be changing my mind a zillion more times and probably end up with a trip to the local zoo. ROFL

why can't you do both?
when you go to Hawaii, go to the big Island. your kids (and you) would love it. I swear it's like landing on the moon! Maui was pretty, but i can get pretty beaches anywhere. i wanted to see things i couldn't see anywhere else and that's on the Big Island..active volacano, half the island is molten lava, you have rain forests, black sand beaches..it's just the coolest!
we are sort of tossing around taking the kids there for spring break next year since it's ds' senior year (and probably last year to travel with us :( )
