I can't believe that they are killing off a character that I adore....I saw the previews yesterday, and I was shocked.....Jillian is dying....so that Laura can get her heart transplant....yikes I don't want to watch anymore.......:bigcry: anyone else watch this soap and are you heart sick, its like Maria's death all over again....

I used to be addicted to the show, but haven't watched it in years other than to maybe catch 5 minutes every few weeks or even months. It killed me when Maria died and then when Hayley and Mateo started having problems I quit watching. I know who Jillian is though and I can't believe they are killing her off! What will be her cause of death? I happened to see a little yesterday when Leo? proposed to Laura - what's up with those two and is his proposal sincere? Just don't get me into this show again! LOL!

well, Jillian was misteaken for someone else...Anna Devane from GH, but anyway was shot in the heat, and is apparently brain dead....Laura needs a heart transplant, and isn't she lucky the Jillian was shot....anyway, Leo really likes laura, but feels sorry for her, and they married today....its too wierd....anyway I wasn't ready for the death of this character...just like Maria....it was so hard for me...I know I am pathetic....

If you're pathetic, then I am, too! :D I was devastated when Maria died! :bawling: My mom and I chat about Y&R sometimes and then laugh when we catch ourselves acting like these people are real in our lives! Thanks for the scoop of AMC. Still can't believe they'd kill Jillian off. Was she involved with Ryan?

I usually watch AMC while I'm making the kids' lunch. I was SO shocked... I couldn't believe it either! For some reason I thought that something was going to happen to Ericka's dd... She kept saying over and over again how she'd "die" for Laura. I wonder if Jillian wanted to quit or if she didn't have a choice... I'm going to miss her on the show though... I've always liked her and Ryan together.

I gave up watching soaps awhile ago since they were taking up to much of my time. I really have an addictive personality! I had tried giving up AMC when Maria died since like most of you I was upset over how final they made her death. At least they could have left it open for her return! I think I really like those couples that are not only a couple on tv but also in real life (like Maria and Edmund were).

I may just need to catch a couple of episodes on the soap net. The little bit I've seen in passing has eludid to Laura and Erica's daughter maybe being gay?

well, as far as Ryan and Jillian, they are married, and this is too sad for me.....she isn't off life support yet, but I am sure that is to follow.....Maria and Edmund I loved.....my Maddie was born 2 months before thier maddie....too wierd, and when Erica stole that baby, I had the worst time of watching it...LOL....then to have Maria die, just about killed me....on a happy note, the woman who played Maria, is pregnant with her first child...she is married to Edmund in real life so that cool...and they left the door open for her return by not having her in the heaven sence coming up, is what I read....I hope she returns with amniesia...oh well..I am so pathetic...I watch at night on soap net, while the kids are falling to sleep....LOVE my soap...

I used to watch this soap and General Hospital many moons ago... back during the glam days of General Hospital. Anybody remember Rick Springfield I mean... Noah Drake?

The characters I remember are Cliff, Nina, Palmer Cortland, The Langleys, Jenny Gardner, and of course... Susan Lucci as Erica Cane. I may be butchering the spelling of these by the way ;).

I just don't get into soaps anymore. I consider ER and Melrose Place to be soap operas, although Melrose Place went to extremes that were just... well... Melrose Place-ish! :) I had been pretty addicted to both, but then I'd reach a point and ask myself, "What is this adding to your daily life?" and I'd stop watching. When I get a chance to watch TV I stick with comedies. Even though I don't learn anything, I get a nice stress relief with the laughter. :biglaugh:

I was listening to a radio show this morning and they were at a fire station. They asked the guys if they watched soap operas and one guy admitted to watching AMC, and apparently a D.J. at the radio station is also a fan. Anyway... it reminded me of the thread!

Its's so sad. ( Yes, another AMC fan here). I just watched todays episode and felt so bad for poor Ryan. I too was very emotional when Maria died.
I heard somewhere that Eva LaRue (Maria) and John Callahan (Edmund) are having a baby in Dec. Their first. How exciting!!
Also that Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuellos had their baby last week. A little girl that they named Lola. Can's say it's a name I would have picked, but to each his own.
I really enjoy their characters.

While thinking of Ryan, and everyone saying they are pathetic, reminded me. He was at a local shopping centre here a while back signing autographs, of course I had to go!!!! :)

I use to watch GH all the time but now just see it once in a while. I think Lila must be one of my Favorites on that show.
My all time fav. episode was Sean and Tiffany's wedding, when the Pastor asked "Sean, do you take Elsie May Krumholtz ......" and everyone was trying to keep a strainght face. No one had ever heard her birth name before.

Todays AMC had me in tears when they turned off Jillians life support and rushed her to the OR for the emergency Heart transplant for Laura. Poor Ryan. He deserves an award for his proformance in this story line. My heart just was breaking for him.

I missed it today because I had my little ones outside in their little pool... DARN!!! It sounds like it was a good one too. I'm glad that Ryan decided to do what was right... I only wish it wasn't Jillian who had to die in order for it to happen. :(
