Update

To answer your questions and update you on Crystal.
Her father is down there with her, he was not in the same vehicle as the rest of the family. Her sister flew down immediately to be with her at the hospital and her other brother came down the next day to take over the combining crew.
The last report that we received was from Sunday when her father phoned up here to a friend. Crystal was relying on a ventilator for all her breathing, but by Saturday night she was beginning to breathe on her own, using the ventilator for only half as much. She responded to her sister by squeezing her hand on Sunday and began to tap her foot to music that her father was playing for her. Although these signs are little they mean so much right now.
My dd has been worried all weekend about Crystal but the smile on her face when she heard the update brought tears to my eyes.
hopefully Crystal will soon be able to be air lifted back to Sask. where she will be surrounded by family and friends.

I'm SO glad to hear that she is doing much better. ANY little thing that she responds to at this point must mean so much to the family. I hope she continues to do well with her progress... Keep us updated and I will continue to keep her in my thoughts and prayers. :)

Glad to hear of the positive progress. Hopefully she can be back closer to home soon. If she was back to a hosp. in Sask. do you think your dd would want to go see her?
I will continue to keep this family in my prayers!

My dd wants Crystal to be in Sask. so she knows she's close enough that she could go see her. Whether she would i don't know, I think she's a little scared of what she might see and she is not a very outgoing person, so there's also that fear of what do I say. I'm sure we probably will go in even if for just a few minutes to drop something off for her, time will tell.
