Well, it's Sunday. This is usually my most structured day of the week (church, groceries, laundry, lesson plan details, checking homework, and getting ready for the week). But this week we're on vacation, and I'm inclined toward just sitting still, either here or with a book. Meanwhile the house is a shambles and I'm not accomplishing anything. So, how do you get down to work when you know it'll wait until tomorrow? (or even the next day?)

I think that is why they call it "vacation"!!! LOL.. Enjoy the day of fun procrastination. Of course, you'll pay the price when the "vacation" is done!! :)

I don't... LOL It will all still be there tomorrow, so go enjoy your day and have some fun! That's what vacations are all about, right? :) Have a good day!

Okay, thank you both. Of course when the Health Inspector comes and condemns this place, I'm going to name you as co-conspirators.LOL
I just feel like I should be accomplishing something worthwhile. But look at how relaxed I'll feel tomorrow!!

I would give you motivation but that would mean I have to have some in the first place. I don't. Enjoy your vacation while I go through the house doing the things I should have done today.

I'm with everyone else - give yourself the time you want/need to relax. :) Enjoy!!!!!!

I am with the rest of you. I was supposed to do laundry today and clean my kitchen. That was my two goals, but when I thought about tomorrow being a holiday, I went shopping and said I would do it tomorrow. We'll see! LOL!!

Why is it that we feel like we have to "work" on our day off or vacation???? Dh never does. He goes fishing or plays golf. On my "day off" its laundry, shopping, cleaning. Like today - vacation day - no school. What am I doing? Deep cleaning. Dh does a great job during the week of surface cleaning, but I know where the real grime is, and today it is my mission to eliminate it! Until I took this computer break. Now I'm realizing how tired I am.
I had to spend the night with GM because GF is in the hospital (he fell out of a tree and that's another story). Any way took GM to hospital yesterday and on the way home my sister calls to see if I can stay with GM overnight because her ds birthday is today and she would like to spend time with her family. I agree. Sister did not tell me an animal was dead under the house, and had been for some time. It reaked! Tried to sleep with my turtleneck (which thankfully was doused with perfume) over my nose. Needless to say I got no sleep.
But I'm off the subject. Two cups of coffee and I was ready to tackle the grime. Then I made the mistake of sitting down. Now I think, hey it's my day off - put the turkey in the oven and go take a nap! Thanks for letting me vent ladies.
