Its late and I can't sleep and this is the burning question I want to know! :biglaugh:

When I was younger it was probably a tie between the Sweedish Chef and Beeker. Just in case you were wondering, I can do a pretty mean Beeker or Kermit Impersonation!

I'm not sure if it is age or what, but now I find myself loving the old guys in the balcony... they still crack me up. We saw the Muppet 3-D movie in Disneyworld and I guess it brought back some memories! :)

I have an affinity for Grover...of course I can totally relate to Cookie Monster too. I wouldn't have thought of the Swedish Chef-- he was funny.

How funny, I loved Kermit, and was just saying to dh how sad it is that you don't see him as often on sesame street since Jim Henson died.....he really is my favorite muppet.....great question...

What? No one is picking Miss Piggy as their fav?

My fav would have to be Grover, too. But then there's Cookie and Kermit, oh such a decision! :D

I love all the Muppets, but I'd have to say that Animal was my favorite!! Television used to be so good in the 80's. What happened????

I'd have to say Kermit the frog is my favorite too. We use him, Miss Piggy and Cookie alot during sunshine mountain (our children's hour worship). The kids love them all, as do I.

I love them all!!
Cookie has always been my fav. even as a kid.
He was cute, cuddly and loved cookies just like me!

Grover was always a fav. too as well as Big Bird.
This may really date myself, but does anyone remember when Mr. Hooper died? I don't know how old I was, really small, but I remember them telling Big bird about it and he cried. It made me cry too. I asked my dad drive me to Sesame Street so I could give Big Bird a hug because he was sad.

Of the Muppet show gang. I would have to say ma fav. is Animal. He reminds me of DH. I also enjoyed the sweedish chef.

Then of course there was the "Fraggle Rock" generation of Muppets. They just plain annoyed me. The Doozers were kinda cut though. I remember when ever the Gorgs would come on my dog would jump at the TV and growl and bark. I guess she wasn't a Gorg fan.

Kermit is my favorite. I have to admit that I always laugh at Oscar the Grouch...and who doesn't LOVE Elmo?! LOL The newer muppets are cute too (Rosita, etc)

Dh and I loved sesame street as children and when we finally get around to having a baby, we plan on doing the nursery in it. We have already started our collection. We have a 28" tall cookie monster, elmo, big bird, Ernie, and Bert. We also have a sesame street mobile to hang over the crib and balloons to hang an the wall. I don't really have a favorite out of them though.

Do you want more?? Ds has a Sesame Street room that he has outgrown, so I have LOTS of Sesame Street stuff - light fixture, two comforters, small stuffed characters, small figurines, Sleep 'n' Snore Ernie, etc!

I don't know if I could pick. Miss Piggy for sure, Grover, Animal and that really tall giant, forget his name but he was cool. I think Cookie would be my fav. Or maybe Snuffy. The new ones are cute, gotta love Zoe! :) But baby bear can get on my nerves fast. lol

I can't pick out a real 'dislike' muppet. I never did care for Bert as a kid - too stuffy.
I use to like the counting activity with the chef bringing ten pies down the stairs and he tripped and had whipped cream all over him.

There also use to be a thing on big and small. At the end of it a orange monster would come on and say I'm small, and someone would say ' no, you're big' and he said "No my Daddy is big" and an even bigger monster would appear. He scared me.
The place where we lived was near a set of railway tracks and every night shortly after I went to bed I would hear a car pull up and four car doors close. (My neighbours coming home). I was sure it was the big orange monsters coming to get me. Then my bed would shake because the monsters were coming up through the floor.(the train going by). One night I even got brave enough to peek under the bed and was traumatized for week over what I was sure was a monster.(a big stuffed orange dog). One night I had a dream that the orange monsters were having a meeting downstairs in our living room. They were tossing me from monster to monster and laughing. Finally the HEAD MONSTER caught me and was about to eat me and my grandfather walked in and started hitting them with his cane and saying " tut, tut, tut" which is about all I remember him saying as he had had a stroke a year earlier. The monsters all ran away and I was safe. I woke up knowing that they were gone and I would be ok. It didn't mean much then, but my Grandfather had died about six months before this happened. I guess I knew he would always look out for me.

"Elmo got new shoes" I LOVE Elmo. He's so cute and childlike. I also kinda liked grover and gonzo I think they must be cousins or something because their personalities are so alike. They both were kinda unique and odd. And trying to fit in....

If you are up for sending it to me, I wouldn't mind taking it. That is so thoughtful of you. When ya'll do stuff like that it really makes me realize that I couldn't have picked better friends.

PS I would be willing to pay for it, if you wanted. You just have to let me know.

I'll post closer to our moving date when I get around to packing up his room. I'd love for someone to have it who'll enjoy it. :)

I can't think of one that I don't like! Grover and Kermit are my all-time favorites, though. I especially like Elmo now, too.

Can't believe I missed this one before!

I've always like Grover and more recently Elmo. I watched Sesame street in the early 70's so they've added alot of new characters since then.

I don't remember too much about when Mr. Hooper died cause I wasn't watching it anymore.

As for who I don't like--I guess it'd be either animal or the count. Not sure why, just didn't enjoy watching sections with them.
