Do your kids have school on President's Day?

We are off school tomorrow and I wondered how many of you had kids w/a day off. I love not having to hustle and bustle around in the morning.

My kids have the day off from school... I wish I had the day off from work. I feel like I could use another day off... LOL Hope all of you who do have it off enjoy it. Think of me while I'm hard at work with all of these extra kids. :(

My kids aren't in school yet, but dh is a teacher and has the day off!! He also had Friday off, so it has been nice having a long wknd with him and knowing we still have another day tomorrow! :)

I don't have kids yet either, but I know that the kids around here have the day off tomorrow, and dh and I do too. It seems nice, but I know I am not going to want to go to work on Tuesday now. LOL!

Around here, they give us the whole week off and call it mid-winter recess. It started as a way for schools to cut back on their heating costs in the "Energy Crisis" of the early '70s. It's lasted a while, and this year the schools may actually see that cost savings amount to something. I have heard a lot of parents and administrators complain about a week off when there is "nothing for the kids to do in this weather" (parents) and "we just got back from Christmas break" (administrators). I know my kids look forward to the break in routine, and I feel kind of used up at this time of year too. So we'll just enjoy it.

No school here. Three other mom's and kids from the neighborhood and I are headed to Chuckie Cheese! I hope it isn't packed!! LOL

We do have school here. The kids had last Friday off for Winter break (aka State Wrestling) Later in March they'll have Spring break (aka Girls and Boys state Basketball). It seems sports are of top priority around here.

It's been a long weekend and I'd love to sleep in.

DH is off today. The kids had last monday (Lincoln's bd) off.

we have the whole week off for mid winters Break....yikes no school all week....can you believe it...been really hecktic here, with ds home too and the puppy romping around....I feel like I am in a race...I don't know where I am headed but I am running like crazy....LOL

Our Kids are off too! And they go to a Baptist School. We are going to the dollar store now. you all have a good day!

The kids had a 4 day weekend. Friday and Monday were days off. DH had work both days. Daycare is one of the 3 main reasons I became a SAHM. Finding a babysitter for just a couple of days each month would be murder!
