Hi there everyone.

I just thought I'd take a chance to tell about myself. I am a working mom of 2 girls, Molly (age 5) and Katie (16 months). I am a substitute teacher right now but am looking for a full time teaching postiton.

I have used this site for a year but have not become a user until recently. I love it!! You are all so helpful!! So let me say Thanks to all those who use this site and take the time to reply to those of us in need.

How do you like substitute teaching? What grade range did you cover? What do subs make in Ohio?

I've been tossing the idea around if my preschool interview next week doesn't pan out into a job. I know around here they've been known to use the same subs in high school as elementary school. I think the daily rate is $70 here.

I enjoy subbing but think I'd enjoy my own classroom better. This past year I did 3 long term jobs, one in 3rd, one in 1st and the longest in Kindergarten. I sub for all grade levels but prefer to stay under 5th grade. I enjoy the smaller kids more than middle school and high school kids. Subs around here mostly make $70. Some smaller schools it's a little less.
I just keep my fingers crossed that the perfect job will come up. But I haven't heard of much opening. But it will happen in time.

I have been using this site for about a year now also. Love the ideas for crafts. I use them for my Sunday school classes as well as Vacation Bible School.

Never knew till today that it had a message board. I have looked at them before on different sites, but was always blown 8o away by what people wrote on them. Nice to see such a nice site.
