Help - Missed the end of these news stories...

I caught the tail end of two news stories last night and this morning. Can anyone fill me in? One was about a woman in Houston who killed her five kids?? The other was about a boy who was attacked by a Pit Bull and is in critical condition? Anyone hear about either of these? If so, do you have anymore details? This is about all I heard. :tearhair:

The woman drowned her 5 kids, she is being arrainged this am for capital murder. She tried to commit suicide in 98, was diagnosed with PPD and CPS was called in but the hospital did not tell them about her depression. Neighbors say that she pretty much kept to herself, and one neighbor was quoted as saying "I am going to make an effort to really get to know my neighbors" ..that just really struck me and made me realize how lucky I am to have the neighborhood that I do. It's so sad.

Wow!!!! Thanks for the info. I'm surprised she didn't try to kill herself afterwards. Hopefully she will get some help and be able to work thru her issues. How sad. :(

The papers said she called the police and said in a rather dead sounding voice.."you need to come, I killed my children". She then called her husband and said "I think you need to come home" The pictures of him standing outside his house were heartbreaking.

How devastating. :( I just can't even imagine the loss and I can't imagine a person actually following thru with what she did - especially to five kids! Do you know their ages? :(

how did she drown them, not like that woman who drove her children in the lake? oh how terrible, I didn't catch the new yesterday....what an awful thing...that poor man and thier entire family...what will they do to this mother? oh I am just shocked at people sometimes...

The oldest was 7 and it went down in age to 6 months. She evidentally drowned them in the bath tub. There was some question how she was able to that one at a time without anyone escaping, so I think they are looking for drugs or something.
It's just awful.
