Beyond lists, I don't have any advice. I know I couldn't do it w/o lists, lol. :) I'm envious, Renee!

When traveling by car we always pack in laundry baskets. I put extra empty baskets underneath to use to put the dirties in as they accumulate.

Like Pam said... Lists. Each/every time I think of something else I need to bring, I add it to my list and check them off as I pack them. I don't think there has been a time yet though that I haven't gotten to my destination and found something I neglected to put on my list/bring. Good luck....... I hope you remember to pack everything. :)

First tip... your husband and kids should be packing for themselves!!!! If they forget something..bummer. Is there anything so essential that they would lose their life if forgotten?
2nd..you pack for you and then shared items.
3rd...relax

You're very right, Ann... but I was always the one to pack everyone (except for dh) because I knew if I didn't and something was forgotten, it would turn out to be some huge deal and we'd all suffer for it. I didn't want any excuses for a bad time on our vacation. LOL Hell... I'd forget a few things of my own, but I was adult enough to be able to handle being without it. (or go to the store and buy it)

It wasn't allowed in our house either... but somehow it had a way of showing through enough to make us all crabby and miserable.

I have always packed for everyone here too.... so I know the feeling. I always walk through a day in my head and make sure that I put everything I would need for that day in the suitcase. So for example, I say okay I get out of bed, I need toothbrush, toothpaste, hairbrush, face soap, etc... you get the idea. Then I need clothes, (I then make sure I have enough outfits for each day, and then I pack one or two extra), then I go through extras we might need, sunscreen, activities to keep children occupied while traveling, etc. I do this for each person... I hope this helps.
