Good luck with it! I know alot of people think it's rather simplistic, but it worked for us. (maybe that's why! LOL)
I think the most important thing for any type of discipline to work is to be consistant. We really weren't prior to using Magic (and ds was just easier), but for some reason with Magic we could be, and were, and our kids really took to it also. I tell you it's really helping alot now with my preteen's prepubescent attitude that he's developed! LOL

I read your comment about it lasting a week and then they will show me thier big guns....LOL...I am sure that's how it will work....I did notice that ds does better with this, since I don't think he likes to be alone that much...dd is more difficult because 1. she is younger, and 2. she thinks because she is a girl that she can cry and get her way...not being gender biased here, but I am sure that it used to work alot on dh as well as myself...I thought she would be easier, and he would be more difficult, funny how that isn't always the case...I loved the book, and have had several occasions to reread parts.....thanks again and I will keep you posted...

how did you handle the car trips.....we handled the walmart trip by dh taking one of the offenders to the front of the store to a bench...only happend the one time, but in the car was more difficult...ds finally lost 15 minutes of tv time.....what did you do? just curious.....

How we still handle them..we will pull over and sit for a few minutes and collect ourselves...drives them crazy! LOL If it's a short trip, time out when we get home. If we are on the road, I might take the gameboy or tv away for a while, or the books they are reading.

I like the idea of taking away the books in the car....the car happens to be the only problems we have had so far.......maybe we are in for some surprises later this month...LOL...so far so good....thanks again for the recommendation....

Glad to hear it is going well. The car is an easy place to misbehave cause you can't "get them"...they think! ;) LOL
Good luck.
