HAPPY 4th of JULY!!!

Not too much going on around here. We slept in this morning and are still moving a little slow. I ran down and picked up a paper. Dh is still up at the table drinking his coffee/reading the paper. We need to mow the lawn today... I also have a hosta (now two because I split it) to plant in the back yard. Someone had it sitting on their curb yesterday with a Free sign on it, so I stopped/picked it up. I can't BELIEVE how HUGE it is. I'll probably end up splitting them up even more because they're still too big.

We'll be picking my mom up a little later to eat, then over to Dawn/James' house. We might grill out... not too sure about that yet though.

Hope you all have a great 4th!

Not much here....we slept in too...looks like it may rain so...not sure what the plan is. The local baseball team has a double header today....so I think we'll skip it....that's just too long...maybe we'll go tomorrow night...they're home for like 3 nights.

anyway...have a great day!!!!!!!

Sorry you didn't win... (what did they win?) but LOL about the pity prize for the "most pies". LOL The other ones must have been REALLY good if they beat yours. :licklips:

a really cute star shaped navy blue dip bowl..it's pretty cute.

i think there was something sort of fishy going on. the lady in charge and her husband came in first and 2nd! LOL
allegedly she won all the categories, but didn't think that was right. so they went to 2nd place and it was her husband, so they quickly came up with the 'most pies' category. LOL
her's was a deep dish apple pie and it had stars and stripes baked into the top crust...very impressive.
there were 8 total pies.
