Ok have you all gotten the "supplies" yet?
Clothes?

I haven't even really started, ok we got back packs and a multi folder binder thing for ds....

I am a bad mommy, no school clothes, pencils or anything yet...guess I will hit the stores this weekend.

DD's new school didn't put out a school supply list this year, they will find out the first day what each teacher wants. miss just writing a check to the PTA! we did get her a new LL Bean backpack..told her she is carrying it all the way through high school! LOL ds waits till the first day too.

we don't start for a couple more weeks, but everything is done. We always hit Walmart for supplies. Clothes I collect throughout the summer. I got tons of stuff from JC Penney for ds that was summer clearance. Sneakers from stride rite (he has wide feet!) and used a great coupon code from an online store and dd found designer clothing at this upscale consignment shop. She got some Lucky Brand Jeans, American Eagle jeans, Old Navy jacket and some cute shoes for $37.

The school supplies are being replaced by Fall/Halloween in our stores already, lol. I don't buy clothes until they need them. That being said, dd put on her tennis shoes this morning and she could hardly get her foot in them. So I need to find shoes for her today. I bought new backpacks for the girls this year. One at Children's Place and one messenger type bag at Limited Too. I'm really pleased with both of them.

I got supplies almost as soon as they hit the stores - glad to have that done. Dragged the boys to Old Navy last week for jeans and hope to hit Steve and Barry's this wknd to check out the Starbury line for them. They think their backpacks are still okay. :yippee: They could care less if they go back with new stuff and I am still trying to wrap by brain around that. ;)

Had to get a new backpack for ds2...but ds1's was still okay. I have figured out (took long enough!) that it's worth it to pay a little extra for a good quality backpack.

My dks are both in the middle school...and at our school that means they have the same 3 teachers! So...they had the same supply list. That made it pretty easy.

They wear uniform clothing to school (polo shirts and khaki shorts)...and their clothes from spring still fit. Yeah! No need to buy new school clothes for fall...at least until it's "pants weather".
