Good morning! Off to clean the townhouse up a bit after the painter left it less than 'neat'. :grimace:

Not going to preschool today, I told my boss I owe dd a decent last week of summer, so she's invited a friend to the pool, so we'll do that.
Then tonight I do have to go to preschool for parent's night. It's cloudy and I'm wanting to stay home and read a book!

My meeting went well yesterday with ds's new teacher and SE teacher. I REALLY like the way the new SE room is going to be set up-very flexible. Ds can go in and out for extra help, but mainly stay with his homeroom class. Last year he missed a lot of his main classroom activity because of his pull out services and I know that stressed him out, especially if he was in the middle of something with the class. His homeroom teacher is fantastic! I knew him first as a waiter at our favorite restaurant. LOL He is young, confident and has really fresh ideas to help in problem areas.

Today, this house must magically be cleaned. :grimace:

Good morning!! Nothing much on the agenda today except a parent meeting tonight at ds's school. It's a "working" meeting for me so I'm going early and staying late.

Can you hear how quiet it is in here??

Work, then ds and I have hair cut appointments, I am ready, I have to fight the urgh to cut it myself...Hate growing it out, you get to the ARGH stage... DS wants a trim around hte entire head, that skater style...I don't want to mess it up myself....

I have the crock pot filled with cabbage casserole for dinner...

Morning!

Got woken up by management....they had the painters here?( Told them there was no way the apartment could be painted today....(they're supposed to give you a days notice). So I'm gonna try to clean up today in case they want to do it in the next day or so.

my cold has gotten worse again...think its a sinus infection. :bawling: can't get into the dr til tomorrow.

Short day at work again...tomorrow is start of yegular days for me.

We had a great two days of a sort of vacation with dh. Monday we went to an amusement park in Montreal, a lot of fun. Yesterday we took a 5 hour boat cruise about 2 hours from where we live, nice drive and loved the boat tour. We stopped at an incredible uncompleted castle. We were at the castle about 2 hours and could have used more time, dh and I would like to go back for a sunset cruise on our own sometime.

Doing laundry and housework today. Dh's truck isn't working so he took the van to work. I hope it's fixed by tomorrow so I can go and get the rest of the kids school supplies. I am so not ready for next Tuesday!

Lucky you! Enjoy it!! :) I WISH I had peace right now!! The boys are tormenting dd for the millionth time and she is yelling at them to stop it!! :tearhair: I hate to see summer end, but with background noise like this maybe it's time. :\

I'm about a 2 hour drive from the castle. Did you go on a school field trip? How far from it are you? I couldn't believe some of the cottages on those tiny islands. Some huge and impressive and some so tiny you wonder how they weren't washed away in the storm. lol
The tour was cool and explained a lot about different islands and buildings but looking after the boys, sometimes we missed what was said so I want to go again without them.

I think we are about 3 hours away? My Dad and I went whitewater rafting up that way, so we were camping there. I think Cathy is not far at all.

I've been cleaning the house. I scrubbed the kitchen plus the two bathroom floors, did some laundry... grocery shopping, and that's about it. Picking my mom after dh gets home... then back home to sit/relax for the rest of the evening.
