DH started snoring at 3, I tossed and turned and roamed around till 4, went back to bed and finally got up at 5 (I had to get up at 5:30 for the swim meet). So here I sit, showered, dressed and drinking my 4th cup of coffee! LOL I've got to get dd up in a few minutes so she can eat some breakfast before we head out....this is going to be a very long day! But, hey a cold front came through and it's only going to be 90 today!!! ;)

Have a great one ya'll!!!

Not much here--the kids are still on East coast time. They get up regularly at 5:45am. :( The sad part is that Im up already! LOL

I think, since Im caught up at home, take the kids to the children's museum and go for a walk this morning.

Ann, I wouldn't be able to take your weather! When I was in NY, half the trip was 50 degrees and rainy and the other half was 95 degrees and humid. I felt like I was melting. UGH

The first half of the meet ran 3.5 hours..that's really fast. If they stay on that pace for ds' half, then we might be out before 7 tonite!! Am fading though..the boys just left for warmup, dd and I will be heading back in a little while.

Amy..wimp!!! :newwink:

We were up about 7 this am. Dh took the youngest 4 kids to a cub scout camp out. I scrubbed the kitchen floor, cleaned the living room and two bedrooms. Around noon ds#1 called that they were on their way home from boy scout camp. I had to run in to pick him up and then headed out to check on dh and the other kids. My youngest ds (3) decided he didn't want to stay with dad any longer so he came home with me and ds #1. I hadn't gotten on here very long and ds#1 says there's water in the basement. Appears the air conditioner is leaking cause it stopped when I turned it off. :( I have a bucket under it to catch water so I'll probably be able to turn it back on if it gets too hot in here. It's in the 90's today. Will call the repair guy on Monday.

Ds had a great time at camp and constantly talks about. I think he is extremely tired though. He's a little tempremental.

It was enjoyable having the house completely to my self this morning. Hopefully these 2 boys will go to bed at a reasonable time so I can have more solitude tonite.

I was beginning to think this board didn't like me. I tried posting a couple time yesterday it was loading really slow and it just came up fatal error or something when I hit submit. Hope this one works!!:)

We survived the meet! DS's medely relay team qualified for the finals so we are back again tomorrow at noon. Both kids should be very proud of themselves, they knocked at least a second off of their personal best in each event they swam..actually our whole team did great!

Dh's grandma is staying with us for the weekend. What a great lady. :) Bad luck hit this morning though, the air conditioning is not working. Our house is a two story so it's really hot upstairs. I really wish it could have waited a couple more days until grandma left, I feel really bad that she is uncomfortable. Supposed to be hot the next couple days so we're going to be a little sweaty here :(
Ann- congratulations to your kids.:)
Linda- I know how you feel with the ac, hope you stay cool

Ugh... my dh is a big snorer too (even with the snore tapes on his nose... forget what they're called... LOL) and it makes for a VERY long night. I always try to get to bed before he does and that way I have time to fall asleep before he starts snoring. The other night he came to bed right after I did and I layed there for over an hour trying to get to sleep. Speaking of... I'd better get going and get to bed before he decides to go. I don't want to go through that tonight... I'm SO tired.
LOL I hope you have a better night tonight. :) Sleep well.

Diane...

Last night is the worst my dh has ever snored, so at 1:30 I plugged his nose, put my hand over his mouth and made him make funny noises hoping it would wake him up. :biglaugh: When nothing worked I woke him up and told him people overseas been calling because his snoring was waking them up...guess I was a little tired and desperate to get his attention when he woke up so he realized I was losing it?! :goofy: LOL!

Today I am trying to get some laundry done. Hopefully I will be ready to pack suitcases and just keep out what we need until Sat. We leave on Sunday evening and the kids and I are so excited.
Ds is doing well with taking his meds and drinking plenty. He knows that if his throat bleeds we have to go back to the hospital. I was surprised to hear that after getting tonsils out there is no swimming, biking, basketball, anything for 7-10 days. Yikes, how to keep a six year old still? Poor guy just isn't himself but still wants to play with his brother like he's used to. We got him a game boy advance for being so brave and getting his tonsils out. At least it keeps him still for a little while.
Have a good day all.
