oh Ann how fun! Dd starts youth group tomorrow night!! She's so excited! Hey, do they play indoors or in the parking lot?
Two more girls left to be picked up from the party which was so fun! After putt-putt we came home and they just wanted to hang out with dh and myself and talk - then they were off to do makeovers and have a fashion show. lol
Dh is buying new tires, doing errands. Dd has golf and I work 1-6.

Good Morning. Getting ready to head out to ds2's first "real" football game. LOL He's so excited! We have a "tailgate" kind of a party to attend after the game. Our grass needs to be cut this weekend...and the mosquitoes are just out of control! Grrrrrrr. Will have to spray the boys well with repellent for anytime they spend in the grass.
Last night was our first "Open Gym" youth night. And...(drum roll!!)...for the first time BOTH of our boys were old enough to attend!!!!!! So now...twice a month...dh and I will have 3 hours on a Friday or Saturday night to go out for dinner, go to a movie, or whatever!!! Yeah! Last night we went out for mexican food with other parents who were in our same position...kidless, thanks to Open Gym! LOL
The weather has finally cooled down...thank goodness. I work in an unairconditioned school...and it was SO warm in there last week. Yuck! This next week should feel more seasonal.

Oh Mary how fun!! I know how exciting that feels. Dd starts youth group so between dancing every Friday night for 2 hours and another 2 hours on Sundays, dh and I can actually see one another! :)

Well, ds was up early today, but dh got up with him first, then brought him to me...lol! He (ds) and I went for a walk after his breakfast and then I brought him in for his morning nap. I am now here, and dh is watching TV... Sometime this weekend, I have to head into town, not sure when I will go though. My mom and dad are having a fish fry tonight, so we will probably head that way at some point even though dh and I don't eat fish... they usually fix chicken strips for us.

It felt real weird having to put a little one to bed last night... bath, snack, story... prayers... LOL She slept until 7:45 though... so that was nice. Made pancakes/sausage for breakfast... I packed while Sarah played with play doh. She sure is a busy little one. Dawn called to talk with her... they had a nice long conversation. It was fun listening to everything Sarah had to say about her time/sleepover here with us. LOL It's been fun. I can't wait to actually leave for our vacation though. I'm sooo looking forward to it. It's been at least 3 years since we've taken one, so I'm sure we'll have a blast!
I had to leave my car over at my mom's house because I can't get up into my driveway because they poured cement aprons in our driveway's on... I think Thursday, and we can't drive over that until at least next Wednesday, plus we have a big crater between that and our driveway that we can't drive through. I can't leave it parked in the street because they're going to pour the last layer of asphalt on Tuesday. What a pain in the butt this has been... but it will be worth it in the end. (I keep telling myself)
Shelly's coming over pretty soon to pick Sarah plus, I've still got to water all my plants/garden... so I'd better get going.
I hope you all have a great week.
Morning all!
Basketball sign up day for dd....
House work, need to hit the supermarket and pay some bills, thinking of moving my Eliptical machine back into the house (been in garage where I never use it anymore)
Quiet weekend for us!
It's been at least 3 years since we've taken one, so I'm sure we'll have a blast!
HAVE A GREAT VACATION!

Busy Saturday is underway. I already got groceries for home and preschool. I need to make some ripe bananas into banana bread and probably bake some other stuff.
We'll go to church tonight since dh has travel league bowling tomorrow.
Update on the house for auction: Tuesday I called my banker from my current loan. He's no longer with the bank :( Tuesday nite at bowling the banker (who dh bowls with) said he really wanted to see us get this house. He had us set up a meeting with the realtor so he could look at it. He is willing to buy the place (as long as it doesn't go over a certain amount) and even kick in some extra for some things we'll need to get licensed like smoke alarm, fence and dishwasher. There are grants I'll apply for to get these things but if the grants don't get approved he'll pay for them. Then we will rent to own it from him. So this will all depend on whether we will be the high bidder or whether cat lady or someone else will be. Thanks again for all your support and well wishes. Honestly I'm scared to death to take this on. It's not that I have doubts about making it work, it's just a big step, big commitment.
Diane, have a great vacation
Hope everyone is having a great weekend!!

Linda, great you found an option. I hope it all goes through for you.
Emptied the deep freeze and dh used the pressure washer to defrost it. Cleaned the freezer on the top of the fridge too. Also did the front of the house, we need to repaint a few things outside. Hopefully tomorrow. Tidied. Held ds4 while he had a big nap today. Watched a bunch of remodel and real estate shows. Love that kind of thing. Need to go get cleaned up. I promised the boys I would take them to buy the Nintendo wii after they saved and the time is now. Ds2 is more excited than ds1 who almost backed out of their deal which would have left ds2 high and dry and saving longer. And I know that then ds1 would want to use it which seemed pretty unfair to me. Don't want to chip in and then still use it? hmmm. So, he put his cash back in and we're a go. LOL Think we'll have an interesting night playing games.
Have a good day all :)

Thanks Mel and Leigh!
From what I've heard a wii has more interactive games than other video systems doesn't it? Sounds like fun!! My 3 boys pitched in their Christmas money from dh's folks for a Playstation 2. They still argue about who's room it belongs in or how long they can each play it. Ds #1 bought Guitar Hero (1 or 2--I can't remember) so it's in his room now. It's the only kids' bedroom on the main floor anyway.
