Do you go on with them or not?

I'm talking about the Internet.Do you go on with your Children or not? I know people who won't even let their children touch the computer which I think is very weird.Sure they need to know the rules:

1.NEVER Give out your address or Phone Number (This Calls for adults too)

2.STAY AWAY FROM SITE THAT SOUND WEIRD.

On the rare occasions my kids (5 & 9) have been on the internet it has been with me. They don't even use the computer much. Mainly because its old and lacking on space but also because I'm worried about them getting things like carpral tunnel. We don't have adjustable chairs and other equipment that would make it safer for them.

Our oldest 2 (ages 11 & 9) have only been online to game sites that we've found. I think one was Shockrave--but we couldn't always get it to work.

They are taking a computer project in 4-H which doesn't deal with internet this year, but the next level or two up I think deals with making a web page. The 9 year old has asked about getting his own email. We haven't decided how to do that yet.

I agree that you set rules as to where they can go. I would also set rules as to how long they can be on.

I'm not sure how much Internet work they do in school.
