We just got back from a marathon shopping spree. Dh decided to go to Branson, Mo. for the weekend to shop. Everyone needed things to take to Bible Camp coming up the first of July. We hit all three outlet malls, the original 76 novelty mall, and my favorite the anitique and craft mall. My legs are killing me. This time from too much circulation. We even got to play a little miniture golf with ds. I wanted to see a show, but ds didn't want to. I love shopping in Branson. The weather was picture perfect. Breezy, no humidlity, temps in the mid 70's. Dh bought 3 pairs of shoes to my 1 pair. I gave him a hard time about that one. But, now I am beat.

I'm going to see if I can get by sisters to go with me before school starts. I noticed they have a new tribute to Patsy Cline show and my sisters and I are huge fans. Also want to take sisters to the Osmond's Theatre and re-live my youth. So many good shows to choose from if you like country music.

I don't know. I've lived in both San Antonio and Witchita Falls, but I'm an Arky. We live about 3 hours from Branson, Mo. and go there alot for shows or shopping or both.

We discovered Branson when we moved to Stillwater. We've been there several times and love it!

I really don't know. It is about 30 miles from Springfield if that tells you anything. I love to shop there too. And, of course, dh's favorite place is Bass Pro Shop.

What show's did you see while there? We've been to the Grand Palace and seen Barbara Mandrel, Louise Mandrel, Vince Gill, Jay Leno and others. We've been to see Kirby VanBurch's magic show more times than I care to count  , ds's favorite, Jim Stafford, Ray Stevens, The Osmond's (great family show), The Promise (Story of Jesus and is absolutely wonderful) twice, Roy Clark, Marie Osmond, The Branson Belle Showboat, The Dixie Stampede, Country Tonite Theatre (Terrific show), Pump Boys and Dinettes (really good dinner theatre with a 50's show - I think it's closed now though), Shoghi Tabuchi - sp- (worth the price of admission to see the bathrooms), of course the original Presley's Show (which was also one of my favorites), and more if I could remember.

It is a great place for a family vacation. First time we went many years ago the only road to travel was 76 and it would take 2 hours to get anywhere in town. I vowed never to go back. Now they have roads connecting and going around town everywhere, that travel is quick and easy. Great places to eat too. Lots of golf resorts, and beautiful Tablerock Lake. I Highly recommend it to anyone as a family vacation spot.
