View Full Version : Okay-It's REALLY Friday!
I need to clean the upstairs today.:bawling: Not nearly as motivated to do that now because no one is coming over and needs to conduct business up there. LOL
I had the craziest dream about JAK last night! She moved back to NC, somewhere near the Army base. She bought these huge house and I kept thinking how she could afford such a house on military pay. So Sista and I went to go visit her to check it out ourselves. We were floored about all the "common rooms" (that was a word that was used extensively in our conversations LOL). She had about 6 different ones between two floors. She had a bar and great room upstairs! Sista and I kept asking what town we were in and no one knew. We even went to the barber shop to ask and they couldn't tell us based on our directions to the house. LOL The final ending to this crazy story was when Sista and I went to sleep. JAk brought in her baby and it was a mini sasquatch! I didn't want to be rude about the hair, so I asked where the dark skin came from in their genetics. She was so nonchalant and even took out the clippers as I was holding the baby and gave her a bischon frise haircut. I was so incredulous throughout the trip and Sista was questioning things, but let things pass quickly. ROFL
i think it's hysterical you cleaned up for the siding man, amy! LOL
had a job interview today, but they called yesterday to say 'well, we hired someone else so we don't need to see you' uh, you think? LOL need to do housework. just haven't accomplished much this week...maybe i need to hire a siding guy ;)
dd is going out of town tomorrow till sunday with the church youth and has two tests on monday so she is staying home and studying tonite. ds is supposed to be playing freshman/senior broomball.

I'll come over! :)
We can conduct any kinda business ya like. lol
Work. Gotta pick up a b'day gift for one of dd's friends. Don't have much of a clue what to get - I can't go wrong with a Vera Bradley something, so I may do that. She has dance tonight, so dh and I will be on our own for about 3 hours.

We had an awful storm last night... dd who lives in Woodbury had a lot of damage done around their house. They almost had to evacuate because of a gas leak. :( The rain was awful... as was the wind. Our new sewers backed up and our streets were flooded. :( Yeah... nice...
I've got to leave in a few minutes for Dawn/James' house to take care of Sarah. James has a dental appointment at 8:30... so I've got to be there by 8:15. It's down to one lane going so I have to leave a little early because of that. I'm hoping to get home early... got my laundry to do. My mom's night out with us tonight so will be picking her up... I see a trip to WalMart in my future. :biglaugh: They're actually talking about putting a Super WalMart right behind my mom's house... thought that was kind of funny seeing it's her favorite store. There are some people opposed to that happening, so we'll see if it actually happens. Personally... I'd  it! It would sure save a lot gas going back and forth to/from the one we always go to.
Not much else. I hope you all have a great day!!

Amy, that's hysterical!
Is that the secret to having the house tidy? A siding guy? Geesh, I better get to hiring one too. LOL
Tons to do today. I would like to hurry up and get that room sorted out but never seem to have time to do it. It's time to reclaim my living room. Need to get rid of a pile of clutter in the kitchen. Would like it all done today. Having company for dinner tomorrow night and want housework done today so I can relax and cook tomorrow.
Have a good day all :)
OMG Amy...too funny!
TGIF.....Busy with work, but tonight dd and I are going to see "Hair Spray" the boys are heading to something scarier....
Back to school was fast paced and fun...but I was beat when we got home....we watched Survivor and I hit the sack.....
Have a great Friday All.

It is like having any sort of company over. You don't have your house tidied when you know someone is coming over? I don't have many "scheduled" guests over, so I look at the house through different eyes then. LOL

i do the same thing as amy. and i always hear my mom's voice "you never get a second chance to make a first impresssion". so, if i know someone's coming over (company or worker, lol) esp. for the first time, i'm completely anal about everything in the house being right.
heck, what am i saying, anytime a visit by anyone is planned, i freak and get everything "just so".
we don't have many planned visits here. LOL!

Work, work, and more work for me today.... started a new at home job with Brighten Communications on Wednesday. It pays a guaranteed rate per hour instead of every minute you are on the phone, so I am hoping it works out better...not sure yet though. If it does, I will quit the other work at home job, but if not, then I will keep the other one and quit this one.
Dh is still loving his job, but got a call from Nortel the yesterday and has had 2 phone interviews.
