Vacation and house makeover. It's all been a long time coming. In the short term....taking myself and my dog on a nice long walk on a sunny Fall day.

Ava eating by mouth. Nooo idea if that will be in the next few months....or years, though.

Ds getting out of diapers. He has finally starting pooping on the potty just over the past 2 days. Woohoo! lol That has been the only thing holding him back from his big boy underwear. Hopefully he'll get to start wearing them this weekend. I'm sooo excited for him!

My dad sees the neurologist at the beginning of Nov. so I'm looking forward to hearing some good news. There have been trials and studies on the disease he has and it's pretty exciting stuff.
The kids dressing up for Halloween. Always fun.
Going to a party on Sat. with dh.
Italian night dinner/dance at our church (even though I'm nervous about being the dj again).
First words, crawling, sitting, standing (guess who lol).

OMG Can't believe I forgot to say this in the daily thread. Last night I was clearing off the table and ds4 was in his bouncer. Clear as a bell he called my name. He looked right at me and said 'Mama'. Talk about a feel good moment!

Ava eating will happen before you know it... :) We didn't think it would ever happen, (our impatience... :) ) sarah just wasn't interested, then one day she just did. Hang in there...

How exciting for ds getting out of diapers... I'm sure you won't mind giving that up either.

It was so sweet, but he hasn't said it since! LOL

Beth, did you take ds to pick out his own underwear? That was always a big deal to my kids.
I have a niece who was almost fully trained when they were here in the summer and now every time she gets on the phone with me she tells me she just went. She loves to hear me get all excited and say how proud I am of her, then she giggles and runs off to play again. LOL It's adorable.

Ohhhh, yes. He was soo proud to pick out his big boy underwear months ago. I started training him when he was waking up consistently for weeks with a dry diaper. Going #1 in potty was never an issue, just going #2. It scared him the first time he did it, so he refused to do it again. We tried everything to get him to go #2 again. Bribed him with m&ms, suckers, animal crackers, and cars. Nothing worked. Then for whatever reason, he decided he wanted to start doing it this past Wednesday, and he's been doing it ever since! Now going potty is all he wants to do. lol He hasn't had one dirty diaper. If he stays this way by the weekend, we will let him start wearing his big boy underwear.

Looking forward to a Women's retreat in two weeks. I've coordinated the whole affair and boy has it been time consuming. I finally have all the lessons finished. Next weekend my sister and I will be making our last shopping trip for last minute odds and ends. My dh will be glad when it's all over too because I have tubs of things for the retreat in the car, in the living room, everywhere. My lesson materials are scattered all over the living room on the coffee table and the sofa as well as my computer table. No one is allowed to move anything. I started today to compile everything neatly into a presentation binder.

Looking forward to Chirstmas with my family.

Looking forward to Summer break. I'm really not liking all the infighting that goes on in my new building at school.

Looking forward to ds' wedding in June.

Wish I could look forward to a clean house, but short of a new housekeeper, I don't see that happening. I'm too tired.
