It's cloudy and cold here today=-typical upstate winter weather. This is dh's first weekend day off since early October, so what is he doing? Loading up all these old aluminium storm doors and recycling them. That is a nice cash bonus to this business.

Have fun at the football game today Ann!

We woke up to gloomy and rain, but it's cleared up and is now sunny. It's suppose to get up into the 50's today. Were invited over to Dawn and James' house to celebrate Sarah's 4th birthday. :yippee: :) :) It's hard to believe she's 4 years old already. She's come a loong way and overcome a lot of obstacles. :) They're having a bonfire... including both sides of the family. I've still got to wrap her gifts... and I have go to buy her a card yet.

Not much else. I hope you all have a wonderful day!

We are going to dinner with my mom tonight to celebrate her birthday. We are driving to her town to go to a steakhouse that I haven't been to in years. I am going to have a steak!! I'm sure it's going to make me sick, but it's totally worth it. I bought my mom this crazy fishing rod that shoots the line into the water. I also paid for us to go to Chicago shopping for the day next Saturday. I'm really looking forward to it. I've been teasing her something awful about her gifts, she is just like a kid when it comes to that. She asked me this morning "how many?" I told her I didn't count but it was going to take a lot of paper, lol. I've already starting teasing her about Christmas. At least I know where I get it from!!

I hope you all have a fabulous day!

Went to a swim birthday party for our old neighbors little girl. Today is my nephew's birthday party (skating) and tomorrow my boy is going to be a teenager. He's taking turning 13 in stride and I can't believe my baby is a teen already. LOL He wants to keep it low key, go to the show after church and back here to hang out and have dinner. Found the kids skates but they need to be sharpened and I still need to go buy a gift. First I need a shower and get the kids dressed. I get the feeling all this will take place on the way to the rink. Hope you have a good day all :)

Happy 4th Birthday to Sarah!

Diane, Happy Birthday to Sarah! I can't believe she's 4!
Angie, Happy Birthday to your mom! Enjoy your dinner out.
Ann, enjoy the football game and tailgate party.

I sure wish we had y'alls cool weather. It's supposed to get up to 83 here today. UGH! It shouldn't be this hot in November.

We have our Goddaughter's birthday to go to today. She's having it at a jump house place. We are only taking dd1 due to it being flu/RSV season. Last time we took ds out to one of those places he got sick. We just can't chance it again with Ava.

Hope everyone has a great day!

What a nice afternoon, took the kids with me to JC Penny then to Kohl's, got the cutest brown sneaker like slip on's, and new bracelet...then stopped off at Red Robin for lunch.
I had a nice conversation with them kids....it was really peaceful.

Got home to find a HUGE bill from when dd fell and needed X-rays, well apparently my insurance is has denied the claim, but I can't get a hold of customer service until Monday...so I am NOT going to worry about it...

Ever since I switched to PPO I unfortunately have had NOTHING BUT TROUBLE....argh....when open enrollment comes around again, I am going back to the HMO!
Yes it's great you can see whomever you wish with out a referral, but for some reason the bills are always in question...ARGH!

I think I might :read: start my new book.

Have a great Saturday afternoon all.

well, my high school kicked the tar out of ds' school, but it wasn't pretty..lots of bad officiating and the star QB for ds' school wasn't playing cause they were saving him for district.
it rained during the tailgate party, but once it stopped it was really very pleasant, overcast, nice breeze about 70..then it clear up and it was HOT!! i got sunburned!

Thanks everyone for the Sarah's Happy Birthday wishes... :) We had a lot of fun at her party, a roaring bonfire... lots of good food and company. She got a lot of nice new toy's... and was eating up all the attention she was getting from everyone. I'm sure Dawn is glad it's all done and over with though. :) I was so impressed with her. For only having moved into their new house two weeks ago, I couldn't believe how she already had everything unpacked. :)

Hope you all had a great day.

Happy Birthday :bday: to your Mom. Enjoy your steak!!! LOL I hope you don't get sick from it. (why does steak make you sick?)

I haven't eaten red meat in 6 months. I ordered chicken, brichard ordered steak, I had 4 bites of each and spent lots of time in the bathroom afterward. I know, TMI! I also ate a potato with 1 pat of butter and a small dollop of sour cream and yum-o, it was so good. You know when people don't eat something for a while and then have some and say, that's not as good as I remember? Well, that wasn't the case, lol. It was delicious!

My mom had a great time and she couldn't even wait until after dinner to open presents. She asked her bf to take her fishing today to use her new rod, they both thought it was really neat.

Oh! My mom's local newspaper came and did a picture shoot and an article of the interior design of her home. The article is supposed to print later this month. She is so excited since she does all that herself. I want to know why that talent didn't genetically come my way!!

Glad Sarah's party was so much fun for her and everyone else! I'm impressed with Dawn, too! (Heck, I've been in this house for 10 years and recently unpacked some boxes that haven't been touched since they came off the moving van! :grimace: )

Glad you had fun, Angie! (Why does red meat make you sick?)

Hope your bill gets straightened out on Monday, Renee. I have a couple that were messed up and the insurance company is arguing with the hospital over it (I should be getting a refund because the hospital charged me more than they should have).

My sister always gets sick from eating meat... but that's because of her gastric bypass. She say's it tastes great until it settles... then she suffers.

I don't know why red meat does that to me. It's only if I haven't eaten it in a while. It could be just having something that "rich." My body just revolts against it!

As of this morning I'm down 50 pounds... only 50 more to go, lol.

I already asked my mil for cash for clothes for Christmas. So as the spring clothes come out I can get things when I want them. I'm sure my mom will get some things for me in Chicago this weekend too. I still don't want to buy much because I'm not where I want to be yet, but I'm going to need some things for the holiday parties coming up. I've gone from a size (embarrased to say) 24 to a 14. I can actually shop in the regular size area's now. I bought a $2 work out tank top with a built in bra today in a 12/14. I still can't believe I fit into it.

Thank you so much for your encouragement everyone. You've been very kind.
