Is there something you can do to allow us to upload animated avatars? Or is there something I'M doing wrong?

I've tried uploading some animated ones as well and double checked to make sure they were under the kb max but it still didn't work.

actually... if you look, there are quite a few avatars that are animated. :) Mine isn't working again, but I'm assuming it will be again soon. (I hope)

I've noticed that Diane, but I also know you are a moderator, so I thought that might have something to do with it. Also, some of the animated ones (Amy's in particular) have been around for quite a while.
This is an issue we just started dealing with this year, I thought.

If you have advice on how to upload the animated ones, please pass it on. Renee, Pam and I can't be the only ones having trouble with this. And if we are.... well, how pathetic are we! LOL

I don't think it's got anything to do with me being a moderator. Like I said, some that I tried downloading didn't work while others did. Maybe you're just not downloading the right ones. ?( Try downloading my avatar and see if it's animated when you download it.

LOL been getting that message for almost a year now.....

not sure why, I do agree with Jen that some older animated avatars still work because they have been up for a while.

I have tried relentlessly to upload animated avatars...and there are so many cute ones I would love to have :(

it doesn't matter which ones i try diane. and since it's not just me, i doubt that i'm trying the wrong ones.

i did a search for this converstation, since i knew we'd had it before, and we never heard anything from david or pam on it. maybe they can shed some light on it, if they see this thread.

and i didn't find that many animated ones on the board, (at least among regular posters), just you, cathy and amy - who have all had theirs for a good long while.

i tried. it won't take it at all (animated or not). i get the same message "you may not upload animated images.

I get the same message (can't upload animated images...etc). Frustrating!! I have a bunch of them that I've always used...and, gosh, maybe since the beginning of summer??, I haven't been able to upload any of them. Grrrr.

I thought it was just my computer. None of my cute Christmas ones will load. :bigcry: I'll have to look for some non-animated ones, I guess.

I didn't mean that YOU were doing something wrong sista... some (animated) ones I've tried won't download for me either. I don't have a clue which ones will/won't either until I try. I'm very surprised mine is working seeing no one else can get their's to work.

I'm sorry you're all having trouble downloading animated avatars, I hope you'll get an answer from Pam or David. :)
