View Full Version : Sunday
I was lazy today and slept in until just after 8:30. Laundry and homework are on my agenda today. Dd has softball on Sunday's so I'll run a few errands while she's there. Need to finish watching a movie I started with ds last night and didn't get through. Guess that's my day.

Morning!
That was the worst nights sleep. I couldn't fall asleep and when I did I kept waking up from nightmares. I was out of bed by 7:30 :( I see a nap in my future.
Need to get to the laundromat today before the snow comes. But not much else planned.
Have a great day!

Oh Vea, a washer & dryer didn't come with the house? Bummer!
A long day at church for dd. They are going to Sunday school and late church. Dh has a meeting after and she has to be back for choir at 2:00. Then, Hanging of the Greens begins at 3:00 til 5:30. At 5:30 is youth group, they are having a Christmas movie outside and bonfire.
I AM going to finish haning my own freakin' greens around here and get the boxes up in the attic. I want to be done with the house so I can concentrate on what shopping has to be done.

They did but ofcourse they don't work....or atleast the washer doesn't. The dishwasher and refrig need to be replaced too...the only reason we haven't replaced them all is because we're moving washer and dryer up out of the basement and we have to get the plumbing/electric done. Hopefully on the next few weeks.

I'm waiting for brichard to get ready so we can get to church. I can't wait to see how many "angels" were drawn from the "coat tree." I really pray that they all get taken...
We have Life group later today and grocery shopping in between.

Gotcha!
Do you guys have a Sears scratch & dent store anywhere near ya'll? We saved a bunch of money on our refrig. when we moved in and all it had was a scratch on the side, and that's the side that butts up next to the counter so no one sees it! :)
It's well worth a trip if ya'll have one.
Morning all woke up early to the dog tearing at his bandage, he has a wound on his leg and for some reason when dh took him to the vet he didn't insist on the stupid cone, come on this is a 95 pound animal who will chew off the stupid bandage to lick the dumb wound in a matter of minutes, so I have re wrapped it twice now, given him his antibiotics and pain pill....argh...not how I wanted to spend my Sunday morning.... oh did I mention Dh is still sleeping
I am running to Target with DH later to pick up our Christmas Cards today...we did a photo one, I think it came out cute, we are all in P.J.'s in front of the Christmas Tree :tree:
and maybe do a little more shopping.
It's only 41 out side right now (7:31 AM)....so I think I will say under the covers with my laptop and surf the web while my family snoozes....
Hope everyone has a nice Sunday!:butterfly

gotta go fritz with the #$#$$# christmas lights that i spent 3 hours putting up yesterday..of course, when we saw them in the dark last night, i could see the parts that weren't right...grrr . i am SO not in the spirit. i am just decorating to get it done. and then dh who NEVER does a friggin' thing says last night 'well, we need to do...blah blah blah' and i jokingly said 'what is the WE kemosabe?' and he got all pissed...men! can't live with 'em. can't kill 'em!
dd has a hayride for youth group this afternoon, but it may rain

I was thinking the same thing! Here the dishwasher is always included...and occasionally the fridge and stove (depends if former owner wants to take them with to the new house). The washer/dryer are almost never included.

The stoves here are almost always included. A dishwasher is considered attached and is included. Refrigerators and w/d are negotiable, but often stay.

Well, I have been rather productive, despite having a mini mental breakdown in the middle of the day.
I swear, everyone is after me to "go talk to someone" and when I think I've got myself under control, the bottom falls out again. I don't know if it's hormones or just life getting to me.
All I ever wanted to do was be a mom and I suck at it. I stink at being a good wife, housekeeper, sister, friend, all of it.
I am scared to death my mom is going to die because sd won't be able to help her or figure out who or how to call anyone if she were to need help. She's wearing out and aging so fast taking care of him. And my siblings are the worst on the planet. No contact, no support, no nothing. They all have issues from their childhoods that they can't or won't get past and it's just so childish. Sigh.
I hate my job(s) but am stuck at one until another comes along that I'd be fortunate enough to get an interview for and the 2nd one... I'm finally at the point where I can actually MAKE some money from it and everyone there has left and I'm the only "old dog" left and it's driving me crazy.
And as much as I love my dh, he hasn't a clue. He wants to help me, but needs me to tell him what to do. I show him a list and what did he do? Sat down with a magazine and is now outside doing NOTHING remotely connected to the list. And he yelled at me for not letting people help me. I"m sorry.... if YOU saw 8 boxes of Christmas crap to go back in the attic, would YOU have to f'ing ASK what you could do to help??!!! ARGH :tearhair:
So, anyway, I lost it. Hyperventilated, the whole nine yards. Freaked dh out I think. But, I'm back at work on the house and getting a handle on it and have more to do, so I'm off.

yeah, what she said.
((Jen)) I always attached a stigma to talking to someone, but I have come to realize it is the best gift you can give yourself. You are tying yourself up in knots and having someone help sort out all those things is like a pressure release valve. What ever you decide.....we are here for you.

It is overwhelming, isn't it?? Gosh...add to that chauffer, cook, nurse, accountant, shopper, secretary, organizer, and decorator...and you've got even more stress! While I don't have some of your other stresses...I can relate with this portion. Sigh!
You're such a great mom! And you're so good to your own mom. We all know it...and we don't even "know" you! We can just tell by the way you talk about your family.
{{{Sista}}} hugs to you as you work through all of this!

Around here, all of the appliances usually always come with the house. If they don't work... the buyer has to be informed that they are not in working order. When dd #3/dh moved into their house the dishwasher wasn't working properly and the seller had to pay to get someone in to fix it.

here, all homes are inspected by a inspector paid for by the buyer before closing. it will be written into the contract that 'seller agrees to pay x amount in repairs'. depending on what shows up, the buyers can choose to have the seller repair or the can terminate the contract with no loss of earnest money

Went out to breakfast early this morning then came home and blew all the snow out of the driveway. Went to Sam's Club, Mill's Fleet Farm... where I bumped into an old friend I use to work with when I worked at CENEX many many years ago. LOL She married a friend of mine who graduated the year before me. I think we must have stood there and talked for over an hour... didn't realize how late it was getting and got out of there. LOL Were hoping to get together some time after Christmas. It was so nice seeing them again.
Got home in time to catch the phone as it was riinging. Dd #3/dh's Santa Fe isn't starting. I'm sure they were hoping that dh would offer to come over to help them try to figure out whats wrong with it... but evidently he wasn't in the mood, so gave them some ideas/suggestions, offered them my car... and left it at that. :( I wasn't real happy that he didn't at least offer. If I could I would have but... I know nothing about that kind of stuff.
Looking forward to Desperate Housewives and Brothers & Sisters tonight... I don't think they're reruns.
Hope you all had a good day!

Not sure how he did it but got an infection on his front leg when it bends, gross, then started chewing it, and well, it need to be shaved and bandaged but the bandage comes loose when he bends his leg, and then there is the chewing/scratching, so now he is a CONE head....looks stupid and rather pathetic, but the wound is healing allot better.

Yes, it actually is. Because as you know, being able to work while your children are in school, but be home everytime they are is worth trying most anything. :)
A good friend told me today, "this job is gets me my next job". And she is right. This is my foot in the door.
