Up early... it's cccoold outside, only 5 degrees. :nervous: I'm picking my mom up at 9:00 and am going to Wal*Mart before we get the snow were suppose to be getting. Coming back home and, hopefully if I find the frame I'm hoping to find... I'm going to work on rearranging some pictures on my wall. I might stop off at dd's house to pick up my book I left there the other day when I was taking care of Sarah. If my neighbor needs me I'm going over there ... if not I'll probably spend the rest of the day up at my sewing machine. Not much else on my agenda.

(((ANN))) I hope you get your nap.

Ugh...ds's birthday party is turning into a real mess. 5 out of 20 people may not be coming due to being sick. We're doing a fajita buffet for the party, and I have to turn in my order today. I don't know how much food to order now!

Took ds to the doc yesterday. No strep or croup, thank goodness. Those are really going around here. Whatever he has is viral and just needs to run it's course.

Ava has her synagis shot today. Then I need to continue cleaning. I really loathe trying to get the house in "party condition". It seems like anything I clean is messed up again the second I turn around. I guess it will be a late night on Friday trying to get it all finished while the kids are asleep and unable to mess everything up again.

Have a great day, all!

I'm hoping to dust and get the living room ready for the tree. I think dh will have time to take it out tonight and I will set it up tomorrow with the boys since they don't have school. Ds3 is so excited. :)
Parent/teacher interview tonight for ds2. His marks are down, he used to get such high marks and the last couple of years they have been slowly dropping no matter we do. I'm not sure what it going on or how to fix it since he seems to know the work. Like in math, he can do it but the word problems throw him off. Plus, I think in class he's rushing and not paying attention to what he's doing. Hopefully we can get some clarity tonight and ds can get back on track.
Have a good day all :)

Dh finally left for his job. I swear I don't know if I can handle when he has no jobs to go to a day. :bawling: He is either running around the house (which is anything but calming) or he is being obsessive about the business and the best way to do x or y. I already have it figured out and he finally arrives to my conclusions after a hour of torturing me with 'but what about this..., I think you should ask ____ first....., we need to get this figured out before busy season....., okay, you are right and lets do it this way, but do that instead....., okay your way is right....' :banghead::tearhair:.

The party isn't until Saturday... right? The sickies will probably feel better by then... but then again, some who are well today may not be on Saturday. 8o Good luck with the party...

Oh Amy, I sympathize, when I was a SAHM and dh worked out of the house, some days he would drive me CRAZY :banghead: only to come to the same conclusion I has suggested in the first place...MEN!

Morning all.....

I have lots of meetings today, and then lunch with some gals at the office, were trying a new Sushi place...I just go for the Miso soup and the Tempura veggies ;)

Poor ds, he is smart as a whip, but doesn't test well at all. so when the CAT 6 test (the California state test) results came back he was labeled at BASIC....so we have been scheduled for a conference at the Jr. High for next Wed. at 6:00 PM, me, dh and him. He is freaking out :nervous:

Hope everyone has a great day!

morning all!

Totally know what you mean about dh's...Itf I'm awake in the morning before he leaves....he drives me nuts....walking all over the house 20 times before he has all his stuff together. And everytime I ask what he's looking for it's exactly where he left it....ugh!

Nothing major today....just work.

Have a good one.

I didn't sleep well the last few nights either and last night was horrendous. Dh's snoring is driving me batty. I tried sleeping in the basement rec room on Tues. night, but the clock ticking, the light from the VCR/fireplace, some incessant tapping noise from somewhere in the basement were as much to bear as dh's snoring :grimace:. Last night I tried sleeping on the couch in the living room but it's not long enough to accomodate me and the pillows make it not deep enough :banghead:. I went to bed at 11 and after giving up and heading back to bed at 1:00, started counting backwards from 1,000 before drifting off to sleep. But not before dh gets up, goes to the bathroom and then heads down to the basement . And, I had to get up at 6:15 to make sure ds was up and ready to go to swim practice.

I'm going to turn this into a vent thread, lol. I don' t know what it is about dh's sleeping either. It seems he's always tired. It's not unusual for me and/or ds to come home and from work/school and find dh sleeping. Yesterday ds met me at my work after a swim meet and on the drive home we had a bet on where we'd find him sleeping when we got home. Unlike the day before, he wasn't sleeping, but after I got home from Spanish last night at 9:00, I thought I'd see if dh wanted to run out and get a coffee with me. When I got in the house, I call him. He's not answering. I go searching, and calling (my house is less than 1,000 sq ft, it shouldn't be hard to hear me, or find him), I find him sleeping on the basement sofa :banghead:. Needless to say, I wasn't a happy camper. He takes meds for depression and because he used to have trouble sleeping at night (sometimes still does), and he's been so much better since he's been on them, but I don't get it. Maybe he needs to see his doc and get his dosage adjusted.

Whoa! I'm seeing lots of red flags here! Have you thought of the possibility of your dh having sleep apnea? The snoring, always tired, getting up a lot at night(?) are all symptoms that can point to it. :( (((HUGS))) I hope you get some quality sleep tonight.

Well, dh did tell me that his doctor told him to ask me if his breathing changes throughout the night. I haven't noticed anything but the snoring and when he's not snoring I'm peacefully asleep, lol. It's worth the testing...plus he'd be away for a whole night and I'd get some sleep :thumb:.

I always seem to get a lot more done when dh isn't home as opposed to when he is. It's not too bad if he's busy doing his own thing... but it drives me crazy when he gets bored, then starts pacing and wandering around the house. We usually always agree with the way things are done... so thank God thats never a problem. Dd also said that she always feels more comfy when James isn't home. Whether he means to or not, he makes her feel like she's always got to be busy/doing something and doesn't feel comfortable being lazy when he's home. LOL

This isn't exactly a "kid party". It is for ds who is only turning 3. He doesn't go to preschool/daycare so he doesn't have a huge circle of friends yet. We invited family and close friends. Out of the 20 invited, there are only 6 kids coming (including mine). So yeah, I want the house to be clean. :)

Here I am slacking again. I finally started my homework last night. Only did a few pages of reading, but it's a start. Getting ready to go clean up the living room a bit, watch ER and do some more homework before going to bed. I have felt like I sleep good at night, but have been waking up exhausted. I'm not sure what that's about, but I hope it ends soon. I'm so happy tomorrow is Friday!

Bev- my first thought was sleep apnea too. He could go get tested.

It's not unusual for my dh to fall asleep (as early as 8:00) on the couch at night while he's watching tv. When he finally wakes up and goes to bed, he tosses and turns and can't get back to sleep... then will complain because he couldn't get to sleep. I tell him that if he'd quit napping before bed time he wouldn't have that problem... but then he denies that he was sleeping. MEN...

I think it's mostly her feeling guilty having a lazy day to herself when he's been busy working. Thing is... taking care of a house and a small child is a lot of work. She sometimes doesn't give herself enough credit...

So true! Most mom's don't give themselves enough credit for the management of the home. It's a job all in itself.

Both shoulders seem to be back to normal, although I don't have the range of motion I once did....Thank goodness for those cortizone shots....

Thanks for asking
