The title says it all...

For those of you with children who watch Zoey 101 have your kids heard the news? Are they saying anything? Have they said anything about Britney and her custody battle over her kids?

Dd doesn't really care much about Britney. She likes Zoey 101 and was shocked that Jamie Lynn was pregnant. She told me "I think that family needs to get some help." As funny as I thought it was for her to say that, I think it's true. I wonder if the mom was so wrapped up in Britney's troubles that she didn't pay much attention to Jamie Lynn.

well, the mom's parenting book has been put on hold by the publisher. i think that says it all.
as a kid who was a wild teen, i get that it was my choices that cause the rebellion BUT you gotta wonder what kind of things those girls are being taught for both of them to be making such bad choices. and why in the world were the parents letting her date a guy that much older? and he is supposed to been long time..so what? he was 17 when she was 14????

Children of that kind of means and celebrity would be hard to manage I would think. No one could probably stop her from seeing him, there is no parent leverage.

I just think this family was a small town, deep south pedigree and you can only hide that pedigree in this world for so long.

I'm so out of stuff like this. Isn't Zoey 101 an older show with Britney? Or is that her little sister? I've only seen it at a glance once or twice. So now her little sister is pregnant and she's 14? I thought this girl was older. I need to look it up. LOL

When my dd's were teens, I met a lot of their friends parents who, quite honestly, behaved worse than their child/ren did. I couldn't trust very many of them to feel comfortable leaving my children have a sleepover at their house, so they were usually spent over at our house. :) There are a lot of immature, selfish parents out there.

Zoey 101 stars Brit's little sister, who is 16 and pregnant by her 18 year old boyfriend, of two years.

Sorry LOL It was a sterotypical statement about small town, low income and dysfunctional backgrounds. I called it deep South because that is were they are from. Up here I would call it Backwoods. Unfortunately, my BIL and his family are one. I can just imagine if you threw his kids millions of dollars and freedom -how long it would take until their background would show through in their actions.

exactly! I kept thinking trailer trash, but they aren't from trailers and I couldn't remember the term white trash. LOL
