How weird is that?? It's warmer in northern NY than in Houston?! It's 47 now and windy as anything. But it's supposed to get cold overnight and we may get some lake effect snow by morning. I hope it's not too bad, as we are driving to Syracuse tomorrow afternoon to go to a party at my brother's house. Two of my sisters will be there too. I had declined the invite, but all my girls have the day off, and they thought it'd be good to do something new. I rarely see my family anymore. Everyone is scattered, and with both my parents gone, there is no real "home" for the family.
I have to go to church, do some wrapping, and clean up this place. Christmas decorations have displaced some of our things, and it looks a little cluttered.
Have a great day, all my IB friends.
Ann- I have some gloves I'm not using--want to borrow?? LOL

The wind hit us hard all night and now the temps are dropping. Brichard and I have tickets to the Colts/Texans game today. I'm thinking about letting him take ds instead of me.
Have a great day all!

see..if you were here for the game, you would be sitting in a nice climated controlled dome.
GO TEXANS!!!!!
Everyone in my football pool took Indy over the Texans. Indy is favoured by 7, so let's hope they can beat them by at least 10 :tounge:. Angie, enjoy the game if you go.
Ann, they Colts play inside a dome too :goofy:.
Laundry, washing floors, vacuuming, dusting...that's what my day consists of. Oh, and visiting a nephew and his wife.

Morning!
Some cleaning going on here....dbf will go to laundromat.
My dad has offered to come install the pipes for the washer. I might offer to bring him back with us wednesday and that way he/I don't have to pay for his car when he comes. It cost about $90 round trip with the car. I only bring the car when neccessary. It's like $30 round trip for walk on.
Ok I just went on a tangent...sorry. we move the TV from den to Living room so it was much mor comfy last night.
Have a great day!

we so are so far out of the running, but our goal is just to screw with everyone else's chances! LOL
didn't know that, thought when Angie said she would send Brichard on was cause she didn't want to sit in the cold.

Good game plan :brow:. I would have made the "cold" assumption too...in fact, I had to google where the Colts played cause I had no idea if they were covered or not either, lol.
Day is drawing to an end here. I have dinner in the oven. Got some cleaning and laundry done today. I have a bunch more to do, but that's OK. Running a few errands tomorrow and then don't plan to leave the house again until Thursday.

googling just to prove me wrong, eh?? ;)
Morning all, I am still fighting off this stomach thing
I want to bake some cookies at some point today and we will sit and watch :munch:more Christmas flicks.....lazy Sunday!

Renee, hope you win the battle with the bug!
Cathy, have a wonderful time and be safe driving.
Ann, enjoy that party - I too, hope you can go inside! Brrr!
Did early church then I stopped off on the way home to find something "sparkly" to wear tomorrow and/or Tuesday. No luck. Cracker Barrel has adorable embellished long sleeve t's, but they are still $25 each. No thanks!
I've got to tackle laundry, then we are headed out to friend's for dinner - they are the parents of our Goddaugheter, and all our kids have a blast together.

Nope, I was curious...then I thought I'd share my new found knowledge

oh my goodness...I just took a load of ds's clothes out of the dryer and threw in another to dry. I counted 19 t-shirts, 2 long sleeves and one work shirt!!! He still has at least that many more in his closet! 8oAnd I bought him some new shirts for Christmas. And two weeks ago, I made him go through his closet to purge...I think I got three shirts that day
Edited to add...I still have the whites to wash today too and I 'know' he has some white-t's!

Ds3 had a pageant rehearsal after church. Came home for lunch and I'm going to start wrapping soon. I have some baking to do and a few things from the grocery store but I'm thinking dh can pick that up later. Going to start wrapping tonight for the kids since I'm done all my shopping. Woohoo. I've always had a few things to get at this time and even on Christmas Eve so it's great to be done. Yesterday and the day before were really hard on me trying to get it done. I have been having a problem with my legs and this shopping just escalated it all the more. I was in tears from pain and exhaustion yesterday which is so not like me. It didn't help coming home to look at a book sil did for fil which had old family pics and some of mil which made me miss her so much. I can usually tough anything out but I did feel better after a mini meltdown. On with the show! lol
Have a good day all :)

Cold and windy here too. Trying to get everything put together to bring over to Shelly/Bob's. I'm beginning to wish we just had it over here. Too much running back and forth hauling stuff and trying not to forget anything. I finally got all the gifts wrapped... what a GREAT feeling that was wraping up the last one. LOL
James is dropping a load of wood for us... dh's out helping haul it and I'm supposing that's where I should probably be too. I hope you all have a great day!

How nice that your dad offered to install the pipes for you. That sure saved you some $$. :) I never realized how much it cost to bring a car across/back. WOW! 8o It probably wouldn't be too bad if it was only once in a while... but definitely not too often.

Our downstairs heater isn't working for some reason. We woke up to Ava fussing. Went to check on her and her chubby little hands were like popsicles. Eeek...It was only 64 downstairs! We're hoping my bil can come and fix it at some point today. He used to work with his dad in an air conditioning/heating business.
Only thing I have planned for today is wrapping all the gifts. I'm about a third of the way done. We will probably just veg and watch a movie or Christmas shows tonight.
Have a great evening, all!

Typically I try to only do it like 2-3 a year. Figure it's easier then driving around though NY.Hate I-95. Plus gas prices....You really only paying for one way.

Our new stadium is called Lucas Oil Stadium and it is massive. What is Reliant? I actually had to look up the name of your stadium.

it's the electricity/energy provider. they paid alot of the name, but the owner paid for most of the new stadium. it's massive plus state of the art training/practice facility on site too. plus, i think they even use revenue money from hotel taxes to keep it up dated.

The county the stadium is in, and all the surrounding counties have added 1% to all food taxes to help pay for our stadium. I don't know how much Irsay put into it, Lucas Oil paid a ton, but it's a big thing for an Oil company to have placement like that in such a huge motorsports City. I love living in a city with major league sports. I love our minor league baseball team, but it would be cool to have MLB too. Do you still go to the Astro's games? You used to talk about going all the time?
