LOL!! Good morning David! :)
About the same for me. Work, shop, work, sleep.
Dd has play practice and I'm going to run to Limited Too to see if they are having as good a sale IN the store as they are online. (girls... they have thier $45 skirts marked down to $12.99!!)
Dd is asking if 'the boy' is going to go to the school Valentine dance. Not asking him to go with her or if they will go together, but just if he's going. LOL!
Good morning!
it is super high winds this morning, so I am busy cancelling dh's door appointments and rescheduling. Now he is motivated (aka-now 'I' have to be involved too) in starting to clean the toy room and paint it. Not my idea of relaxing afternoon. LOL
Why is it that we are capable of doing our projects by ourselves, but when our husbands do a project we have to be involved too???? LOL
it's burr cold for us, 32. it was 60 at 4 am and has been dropping!!! supposed to turn ugly tomorrow.
acting is today this week. need to get the boy's transcripts picked up and delivered. he came home yesterday with what we thought was the flu but thankfully just a cold. flu is going around here big time so at the first sign of a fever we are back for the theraflu.

Who is David? rofl!! Good morning!
We had an awful storm last night. They haven't determined them tornado's for sure, but there is a lot of damage around. My neighbor's siding blew off and there is a hole in the side where you can see inside their attic from the outside. There are about 20 houses in a nearby neighborhood that are damaged to the point that they deemed them unsafe to occupy. It was scary! The temperature was 54 degrees at 7 and 24 degrees at 11. They are calling for 5-8 inches of snow Thursday night.
I've got all the bus stop kids inside my house this morning because the wind chill is 13 below!
Not much happening here today. One load of laundry to do and meeting some friends for breakfast.
Have a great day and for those of you yet to get this storm... batten down the hatches!!
Why is it that we are capable of doing our projects by ourselves, but when our husbands do a project we have to be involved too???? LOL
.
Can I hear an AMEN???!!
HAHA! I started a daily thread!!!
Howdy, Mr. Lester! :D
Today is relatively quiet, thankfully. Dd1 has music practice tonight, but dh doesn't, so we'll probably be hanging out at his folks house, spending time w/his aunt and uncle who are visiting out here.
Angie, how scary about the storms! 8o I'm glad you all are okay!
Ann, is that weird weather for you for this time of year?
Amy, have fun with your project! ;)
Sista, too cute about "the boy"!

David! That was a pleasant surprise!
Good morning, All!
Working this morning (at the office--doing paperwork for a termination). Then co-op this afternoon (ds is taking Ancient Civilizations). And, of course, the never-ending pile of laundry on which to work. *sigh*
Too cute about "the boy", Jenn!
LOL about men and projects! Heck, mine is never involved in projects (his or mine). He's made it quite clear that he's not interested in doing anything around the house, but he's more than willing to pay someone else to do it. Works for me.
Stay warm, Ann and Angie (surprised school wasn't delayed with a wind chill that low, Angie)!
Have a great one!

Angie, glad everyone is safe.
They keep saying we may get flash freezing here today. Not sure if we did last night like they were calling or not. Right now it's 0 and rain and getting a bit warmer later with more rain or a bit of snow. Not going anywhere at all today just in case those flash freezes happen. Besides, I have a pile of work to do today. Oh joy! Didn't sleep well, ds4 didn't want to sleep alone and ds3 came in and then left and he coughed and coughed. Dh gave him his inhaler and he needed it again this morning. I don't know if I am sending him to school or not. He has missed a ton this year but it is kindergarten.
Hope you all have a good day :)

Home today...school was cancelled due to the dangerous windchill temps. Brrrr. Our temps dropped like Angie's yesterday. When I left work at 4:00, it was 43 degrees...by 7 pm it was 2!!! And then we had -7 this morning. Crazy!! (Windchill temps at about -35 to -40)
So...I've got a whole long list for the boys and I to tackle this morning. LOL
Morning everyone
up and showered...getting kids awake and in/out of the bathroom....
DS got wood shop as his elective and is a chatter bug this am.....
Hope everyone has a great day! Hey it's Wednesday already! :yippee:
Why is it that we are capable of doing our projects by ourselves, but when our husbands do a project we have to be involved too???? LOL
AMEN! MEN!
well, i guess this is good. called the registrar's office to go pick up ds' transcripts and they had already mailed them out. i know the registrar is very cognizant of the deadlines, but now i have that unsettled feeling cause i didn't deliver them myself and have a signed dated receipt!

I'm glad she got them out, but that would make me a bit nervous, too!

Oh my... I certainly wasn't expecting to see you starting the daily thread, David. :biglaugh: :biglaugh: Nice to see you here and posting. :)
It is SOOo incredibly cold here... -15, -40 wind chill... :nervous: :nervous: I can't believe they didn't close all the schools... but they're still open. I went to get the paper, was happy... actually quite suprised when my car started. I was dressed in layers (long underwear plus my flannel pj bottoms with my baggiest pair of jeans on top of that... and even more layered on the top. I wasn't too cold, except for my face, toes and fingers. I certainly wouldn't want to spend too much time out there. It probably wouldn't be too bad if it weren't for the wind, but... burrrr I guess it's suppose to warm up to a whole zero today. :)
Not too sure if I'm going over to walk mom's dog or not... not because of me and the cold but more because of him. I'm sure he probably wouldn't do too well out there either, but he's being so stubborn about "doing it" in his own yard and is refusing to go. I'm afraid if I don't take him out... my mom will, and she shouldn't even be out in it. He's a good dog, but a real PITA with weather like this. :)
I have a haircut appointment today... dh got his cut last night. (shhhh... he's got a job interview tomorrow morning) Keep your fingers crossed that it's a good interview... he's certainly more than qualified. Picking my mom up after dh gets home from work tonight... unless she doesn't want to go, then we'll probably stay home too. With weather like this, you really don't feel like going anywhere but to stay home where it's nice and warm.
I'm starting a new book today... I don't care if I have other things I should be doing first or not... I deserve a nice quiet day to myself. :)
Hope you all have a nice day...
Diane

Isn't that the truth. I don't mind helping at all... but it is true.

Ugh... even 32 sounds warm to me today. LOL I hope it doesn't get too ugly tomorrow... :(
Glad to hear your ds doesn't have the flu and it's just a cold. Dd was complaining about some of the other students who were sick with the flu but still came to class. Of course... she doesn't want to get it from them, but at the same time understands where they're coming from. They loose 10 points if they're late for class, even more if don't show up... and nobody wants to or can afford to loose points. The teacher told them to go home... but said she'd still have to take their points away, so they stayed. Poor kids were miserable... :(
Hope your ds feels better soon...

How awful! Did you have any damage to your house? Glad everyone was safe. :) How nice of you to invite all the bus stop kids inside your home... :) I'll bet they (and the parents) really appreciated that...
I'm glad she got them out, but that would make me a bit nervous, too!
well, the one that was the most imperative it is received by tomorrow is being hand delivered by the school today. A form was left out cause I thought I was delivering it. They were taking over a packet of applications today, so dh ran the forms up there and they are printing out a new transcript.
this is such alot of work for a school he isn't sure he even wants to go to! LOL

Wow... great deals! I hope you get in on some of them.
Cute about your dd and "the boy"...
I'm struggling to keep up with today's thread, lol.
Sounds like some of us are getting some nasty winds/weather.
I'm very sore today...every muscle in my leg and butt hurt today, lol. Had a great session yesterday.

David! Angie (surprised school wasn't delayed with a wind chill that low, Angie)!
I don't know what the cut off is for wind chill, but I was kind of surprised too. I think as long as they can get the buses started they'll go on time. I'm at least hoping for a 2 hour delay on Friday if we get the snow they are talking about.

We didn't have any damage at all. I have 2 glass patio tables on my deck and they didn't move. The chairs did, but a little tikes plastic house didn't move either. Funny because my deck is 20 feet from where the siding ripped off my neighbors house!
I'm just getting ready to go to bed. Today was busy and kind of kicked my butt. I need the weekend to be here now! We are having strange weather here too. Might be getting snow.

Oh my goodness! Just watched the news... the neighborhood that got hit hard near us... the fire department spent all day picking up dead geese and ducks that were turned into missles by the winds. They showed pictures of dead ducks half in and half out of siding. One goose went through a window and into a man's living room. Gross!
