Good morning! Dh isn't working today, so I am going to corral him into going food shopping with me today. In return, I said I would help clean the toy room and get it prepped for painting. Joy...

Angie... I hope you and brichard feel better soon.
Amy... It's nice you have some help today.

Not much... same ol stuff. Walking the dog, coming back home to do some light housecleaning. I might get Sarah later... :) My neighbor said she was probably going to be coming over for a while this afternoon. I haven't seen her in a while, so am looking forward to it. I've got a few more pages left to read in my book, so will get that done. Not much else on the agenda.

Hope you all have a great day....

Not much time for catching up. Ds3 and ds4 are both sick with ear infections. Ds4 is very demanding of attention right now, poor babe. He's been held mostly since late Thursday night when his fever started. Took him to the doc on Monday morning and then ds3 was complaining that night so back in on Tues. Both on antibiotics so hopefully things will be better today. Got my results from the ultrasound and upper gi series. It's a reflux and the meds should help it go away. The Caribbean night on Saturday was a success. The band I found played great, everyone loved them. After that we dj'd for the dance which was good too. I'm sure the church raised a lot. :) Have a good day all. Angie, hope you both feel better soon.

Home again today...another snow day! Crazy! We're supposed to get 16" of snow between 9:00-3:00 today, and we got about 4" over night. :bawling: I'm so done with this snow stuff!! There are 819 closings/delays listed on tv right now...including every school district around.

So...we're just hanging around the house. A lot of people are wondering about Ash Wednesday services...travel is not recommended.

This is our 3rd snow day this year, and this one we have to make up.

So it's not snowing in Minnesota, Diane?

Sorry to hear the kids are sick... hope they get better real soon. I'm glad to hear that Saturday night was a success, sounds like everyone had a good time. I hope the church raised a lot of $$.

 When I think about the years that went by that I never had time to read a book, (besides a childs book) how much I missed. I always loved to read, so it's really nice to have the time to get back into it again. :)

Not yet... but it's on it's way. :bawling: I too am ready for it to be done with... we've already had enough. :) It takes a lot of snow for us before they'll even consider closing our schools. I was surprised last week when it was -15 below (-45 wind chill) and it was snowing... and all the schools stayed open. :(

I'm sick too. This cold is kicking my butt. My poor nose is raw. I'm going to go curl up in a ball and watch TV.

Hope all the sickies feel much better, real soon!

Home from work. Gotta start painting the dining room, gotta do my 2 mile walk, gotta pick up sd and take him home, CRAP! I have to leave now for PT! I completely forgot. Shoot. Oh well, then work tonight.

Dd decided on the Val. gift for the boy. :yippee: Dh and I are going to take them to dinner before the dance, and I can't wait to meet this fella and spend some time with him. He's just too cute to dd.

Guess I have to get off of here and go work my legs. Ugh.

Thanks for the well wishes! I hope all you other sickies get some relief. Brichard and I are both on antibiotics. We went to get our prescriptions and I picked up a couple Wii games for ds's birthday next week. We stopped at Panera for lunch and I met up with another friend and we sat and talked for 2 hours. Brichard left for work way before that though. I'm keeping a couple of neighbor kids after school until about 9 tonight so their parents can attend a funeral/viewing.

Did you get everything done today Amy?

Ah, there goes the wind whipping again. It's been a bizzare February already!

Well, he's really into baseball - on the All Star team, etc. so we bought a baseball and she's going to "autograph" it with something catchy like "You hit a home run with me" or "You're always a 'hit' with me"... something like that. I'll get one of those baseball display boxes and he can keep it on his desk.

She's including a copy of The Rookie on DVD. It's one of her favorite movies and she wanted to attach a coupon good for "One movie of your choice with ______". And then the homemade chocolate chip cookies.

I think it's original and shows she thought of just what he likes. We'll see how it goes over. :)

Uh, the baseball only cost me $2.25! The movie is an old one, so I expect to pay less than $15 for it. The display box... can't be too much over 6 or 8 bucks. And the cookies - I've got all that stuff here already! :)
