Who hangs their's out to dry and who is using the dryer?

I use to hang mine out. Dh and I really prefer it, but since we moved into a neighborhood association, we are not allowed to have lines up.

I voted but I'm replying too! ;) I use the dryer most of the time. Hanging everything out to dry all the time in England really turned me off to that task, but I still always hang sheets and comforters...they smell nicer!

I ALWAYS use the drier... When I was little my mom never even owned a drier and even in the winter would hang all of her clothes outside to dry. I remember her bringing in jeans that were so stiff/frozen that they could stand up on there own and she'd have to thaw everything out before she could even fold them. LOL A few years ago she we all finally convinced her to got rid of her wringer-washer and they bought a new/modern washer AND drier. LOL She'll still hang her clothes outside... when the weather is decent... but never in the winter anymore. LOL

Did anyone read that article Martha Stewart wrote about laundry? It waxed rhapsodic about "laundry day" and how her mother and grandmother used to spend the whole day doing the laundry, blah, blah, blah, and how wouldn't it be so great if we did that today! Hello?? Martha? When do you think was the last time Martha actually did her own laundry! And for me, a whole day doing laundry? I don't think so!

I used to hang clothes out sometimes, but it makes them feel so rough. I do hang my delicates, of course.

I use the dryer all of the time, but would like to have a line to hang out sheets in the summer. :)

Dryer for me. But, I love clothes hung on the line. They smell so fresh. In today's hustle bustle world who has time to use a line.

Dryer most of the time. If I have a ton of laundry I'll hang a few loads out just to speed up wash time.

Always use the dryer. I can not stand stiff and crispy clothes.

I use a little of each. There is nothing like the smell of soft fluffy towels and blankets after drying outside on a windy day. Not the best if you're an allergie sufferer though
