We usually always celebrate Easter (which is early this year) but never make too big of a deal out of St. Patrick's day. (other than trying to remember to wear something GREEN)

No, I was just looking at the kids school calendar and noticed both holidays and then noticed that spring break is also this month...3-24 thru 3-28

Spring break... oh, that sounds so good. I hope by that time it feels more like spring. :)

In my world............

It's wierd in the sense of "how do you decorate a classroom"? What types of projects do you fit in? What kinds of stories do you put on the bookshelf? LOL Of course, you do both...but it does make for an interesting March. (And a rather uneventful April.) LOL We are a parochial school, so our focus is on Lent (with flashes of leprechauns, shamrocks, easter bunnies, and eggs thrown in). :bunny::stpats:

Yep...next year it's back in April! Feels a bit funny to celebrate the "spring" holiday...when there is 2 feet of snow on the ground. :) Makes those Easter Egg hunts interesting. ;)

I was thinking that this year we'll probably end up having to have it in/throughout the house. :)

So true!! Can't imagine that, either. (Guess that kind of weather is where the cute spring/easter dresses and hats belong. Here, everyone has to wear a sweater over them...and/or a winter coat and boots!)

I just sent out our family email for our Easter get together. We are going to have to plan on everything happening inside, you just never know what the weather is going to be. It's nice this year the Easter doesn't fall on the weekend before or after spring break for us! Our life group is going to have an real "passover" meal. We've never done anything like that before, it's going to be fun.

St. Patrick's Day is a pretty big deal around here. (I think, in this climate, people LOOK for reasons to celebrate and feel festive in March.) The Irish Festival is a huge area event.
