Up early as we are going to help my friend clean out stuff from her house. Her dh is doing much better- he's still in ICU though. They have done a skin graft that is looking really good (that dr's say.) They should be heading back to the states in a few weeks. it's rainy and VERY windy today so that will make the loading stuff to be dumped not too much fun. I think I'm getting sick again. Had the sore throat yesterday and the nose is running again. I thought it was just my sinuses as I hadn't taken my Zyrtec in a few days, but that hasn't seemed to help.

Mickey- hope you and Baby B feel better soon!
Ann- glad dd is OK
Diane- hope dh is feeling better
Renee- how's the head doing? hope you are at the end of it.

Ds2 is in a piano competition today, he performs at 12:30. Same ds has his basketball team party at 6:00 tonight (it's a family party). Ds1 has his bball team party tomorrow at noon. Other than that...house cleaning and laundry are in my game plan.

I am back among the living! We had a great trip in Belize! Had as much fish and tropical fruit as I could handle. The weather was beautifu and breezy at night. With no tv or computers, we were in bed by 8pm most nights. LOL Snorkeling was our favorite tour and saw a 3ft lobster, barracuda and lots of fish from Finding Nemo. It was a rotten trip back into the States though. Our plane out of Belize was delayed and we get back to Atlanta at 9pm at night and I am still in shorts and a tank top. It is 42 degrees and 30mph winds. You actually had to WALK off the plane and run to the ramp. By the time you hit customs, baggage claim, trains, baggage claim again-you were just done. THEN we broke out our fleece jackets and tried to find the airport shuttle-still in shorts and sandals. It took us 15 minutes to figure out where to find the area and then had to wait another 15 minutes outside to find ours. I was beyond miserable at this point. Finally get to the hotel, get everyone showered and right to sleep by 11pm. Get a wake up call by 5:30am and back off to the airport. Everything was smooth that day, but just dehydrated the heck out of me. I am still struggling to get hydrated.

up and showered, I have a hair appointment at 9:00 and I can't wait, looked at my hair last night and WOW lots of gray...going with a little more highlights and a trim, I am so happy I went back to my hair stylist! She rocks!

I feel a little better this morning....head still stuffed up, I mentioned bowling to the kids the other day, so we might be doing that later....I am looking forward to just hanging with the kids. They are so interesting at this age. They still want to hang out with me, and I am taking advantage of it.

Got up early and went to my mom's to walk Bruno and also cleaned her front entry for her. Came back home to look at/for some good/healthy recipes. Dh and I are both doing a Whole Body Cleanse... we have never done one before. :) There are certain foods you can/can not eat, so... it's going to be a challenge just trying to find some things that we can eat that we'll actually like. It last two weeks... so it will be interesting. I found a bunch of recipes, so now we need to go to the grocery store to see if we can find everything we need. We should probably be eating like this anyway, so maybe it will get us thinking/eating more healthy. (although I thought we already were... )

Need to run a few other errands later, SAM's and maybe Fleet Farm. Not much else planned...

Ok I had my hair cut, and well I went for a shorter cut, and I LOVE IT! I got more highlights too.

Took the kids bowling for about an hour and then we went out to lunch, I am starting to feel worn down, so we are in for the night....its damp and misty out, so I might start a fire and curl up on the couch....

I did pretty good about keeping everyone with high SPF on. We are a tad golden and not burnt (thank goodness)

We are already thinking of where we want to go next. Most definitely a place with more kids, yet we still want to explore a lot outside of the hotel. Maybe Mexico or the Virgin Islands. Dh and the kids want to do New Zealand. Umm...they were squawking with just a 2 1/2 hour leg of the trip. ?(

JAK, hope you aren't getting sick!

Don't over do it Renee! Glad you like your hair (don't you always say that you want to let it grow out, though?)!

Have fun at the Talent Show, Ann!

Break a leg to dd and her fellow performers, Jenn!

Diane, Ann asked the same quesitons about the cleansing I was going to ask--how do you do it? why do you do it? how does it make you feel?

Welcome back, Amy! (I'm with Cathy on the feeling sorry for you, though! )

After what I went through the dr. suggested it might be something I should consider doing. He said it wouldn't be a bad idea for everyone to do it up to 3 or 4 times a year. 8o (no way... ) This is the one he recommended...

http://www.evitamins.com/product.asp?pid=3818

just started it today and so far I don't feel any different. I'm just wondering how I'm going to feed dh for two weeks (not a great fan of a lot of fruits/vegetables) for two weeks. LOL

i did one similar to that. the one i had only 'suggested' that you make the diet changes so it didn't really work all that well.
i went on a great one a few years ago and it was only fruit and mostly raw and some cooked veggies for two weeks. i looked and felt incredible afterwards! i think the diet change is the biggest key.

diane, did your dr recommend probiotics? or even acidolphillus?
those are the good bateria/flora that helps protect your digestive tract. you can get acidolphillus in live cultures in yogurt. you can buy probiotics in health food stores.
also a teaspoon of flax seed oil is good a day. you can mix it in salad dressing or a smoothie

what is making you so anxious?
Finding things to make/cook for meals. We've had to go out and look for/find more organic foods. Nothing you eat can be processed. Certain kinds of bread, organic eggs/soy milk... vegetables. I picked up a bunch of organic Chicken while we were at Sam's yesterday. Except for a few things, we seldom ever ate anything organic. Now if I could eat like I normally would... it wouldn't be a big deal. Were suppose to meet some friends for dinner tonight and I'm already panicking about what's going to be on the menu that I'll be able to eat. :(

Diane, I have noticed you go to Sam's a lot. Is your club really different than ours? I used to use it more often when I was dealing with a big family, but now I just don't need big packs of things. I go maybe once a month/six weeks for paper stuff, but I spend money on stuff I can't use up if I go more. What's on your Sam's list?

organic just means it was grown/raised without using pesticides or hormones.

grilled chicken and steamed veggies are almost always on any menu (well except for hamburger places! LOL)
