I'm not used to big city problems, but lately we've had our share. We've had high speed chases through the middle of town with speeds of 120 mph, a drive by shooting that involved one of my former student's car getting shot at, last week the school in town had 3 bomb threats. The school was closed for one day and had to evacuate the other two days. They arrested 2 kids over the weekend. Several teachers here have kids who go to school there and they are livid. Then today the school had yet another bomb threat called into 911.

What is happening to my small town "Mayberry"? We are just not used to this kind of stuff happening.

Awww, kat! The bomb threat thing was hot here (actually in Syracuse) a few years back. It got ridiculous evacuating preschoolers several times a week--sometimes more than once a day. But they caught a couple of the kids calling in...and I guess it wasn't so funny anymore. Telephone technology makes it hard to be anonymous.

I hope you've gotten past the weird behavior and that things settle back down.
