I caught part of Tues. show and found myself channel surfing.......what is the deal with the voters?
Who is still watching and who are you voting for?
That Cristy Lee Cook while adorable, sang pretty awful last week, and then again this week...anyway...I'm out...I just can't get into it this season.
I predict that that the final two will be David Cooke and Carly Smithson (Irish Idol)

David Cook and Carly Smithson are probably my two most favorite... even though Carly was in the bottom three last night. (I can't even believe that... :rolleyes: ) I also like David Archuleta. I'm not sure he'll win, maybe because of his age... if that has anything to do with it, but I believe he'll go places whether he actually wins or not. (as did Kelly Pickler) I was kind of glad to see Amanda Overmyer go. I thought she had a good voice, but I really don't care for her kind of music. I thought Kristi Lee should have gone a few weeks ago, but I'm kind of anxious see how she does during country week... which I think is her kind of songs to sing. I think they've got a lot of good talent this year on AI... hard to say who's going to end up winning. :)
I have to agree with Simon. I HATED that they had two continual weeks of the Beatles. Although I loved the Beatles, one week was plenty enough. :)
I like Kristy Lee Cook! LOL There were others who did worse than her this week.
I thought two weeks of the Beatles was a bad idea too. These kids are too young to appreciate some of the 'lesser' known songs.

I don't think Kristi Lee Cook is the worst... (I think she's improved a lot) there are definitely a few of them who are a lot worse than she is... BUT, she keeps ending up in the bottom 3. :rolleyes:

My favorites are David Cook and Carly Smithson. I can't vote as we get the show a day after you guys do. Otherwise, I probably would.

Isn't he the same age as Jordan Sparks was when she won last year? I'm predicting he will win just because of what I have read online about the hype surrounding him.

He's 17, but I don't remember how old Jordan Sparks was... :) He's just an awesome singer, seems to be so shy the way he giggles up there when he's being complimented. Love his innocence.

heard the reason why he screwed up last week is that his dad had yelled at him. evidently his dad is a real a$$ and was banned from even being on the set when David was on Star Search when he was younger.

He's had some great song choices and good performances. I don't really like him, but no denying the kid can sing!!
I personally feel that his stage presence (shyness, etc.) is staged/coached. It doesn't feel sincere to me.

I like David Cook. I also love Jason Castro--not sure he's in the same class as some others, but I just find him really likeable, and he has great facials! He is 'un-staged' humble. He kind of blew Michelle, I think, because he was self-conscious about the French.

You're kidding... 8o It's hard to believe that someone as sweet and nice as David would have such a jerk for a dad. 8o How embarrassing/humiliating for him...

I read something about how shy he is in school and how shocked/surprised most of his classmates are that he's handling AI (being out there) so well.

that's what I was thinking too. Actually... I thought Kristi was going to go last night and am surprised that she's still around next week. I don't hate her, there are worse singers... but for some reason she's always in the bottom 3.

I had to laugh about the faces he made each/every time he had so sing French. I think he was very uncomfortable singing it. :)

I thought he did a great job with his last song... but the judges didn't like it, said it was a mess. :( (totally not the way I heard it) :lol:

i think he is a 'stage' dad. i have heard that alot, the kid star is really sweet in sort of compensation for their jerk parent.

that's my mom, about the dredlocks. :lol: She goes on and on about how she wishes he'd cut those awful things off. Thing is... I couldn't picture him without them. (Not that I like them... they look filthy)

Ever since I watched "What Not To Wear" one night when they were cutting this ladies dreds off... and they actually had CRUMBS and other who knows what in them. It just grossed me out. 8o
