Ok....I'm gonna make this short, packing, babies r us, going to babyshower 2 hours away. sleeping over at my cousins.
Should be fun haven't seen my family in a while.

8th grade dance is tonite. 5 of dd's friends are coming over here for pictures, then dh and i are chaperoning them at dinner (at a table very far away! LOL). after dinner, i have to go up to work and close. cleaning house today.

Bad news...dh found out yesterday that he didn't get the job he interviewed for on Tuesday. :bawling: They told him that he was actually overqualified for the position, and they had a couple of other positions for him to apply for. So, that was nice...and maybe meant to be! We'll see... Keep thinking positive thoughts.
Little League "Opening Day" today. Dh is at the ceremony with the boys. They both have games at 9:30 (different parks), so I'll be heading over to watch one of them. (It's rainy and about 45 degrees...ugh! Perfect baseball weather. Blech!)
Not much else going on today.

I'm so sorry he didn't get the job he interviewed for... but :yippee: for the other job positions they want him to apply for. Sounds like they have something better in store for him. ;) Keeping him in my thoughts and prayers...

Okay... we were suppose to wake up to rain/snow on the ground this morning but instead woke up to the sun shining. :yippee: It's only suppose to get up into the mid 50's... but hey, it's a LOT better than we thought we were going to have.
Mostly yard work today, some inside things to do before I get out there... but that's about it for my day.

I went to bed around 8:30 FREEZING--could not get warm. Rough night--think I was feverish. But feel better now (other than some aches). So I don't think I'll be doing a lot today besides stuff around the house.
Ds will be 12 in 4 days! Need to figure out his gift. Not sure about a party--think we'll have one when we get back from San Diego. The past couple of years he's had sleep overs but I'm just not up to that--too long! Thinking rock climbing at a facility in town or maybe to the racetrack (those little cars you can drive around the track).
Not much else here.

We're taking the kids to the Gaslight theater this afternoon to see "Arizona Smith and the Relic of Doom". :lol: Should be a blast! Some friends in Tucson asked if we could come over and swim for a bit today, so we're going to their house first. I'm not quite sure how this is all going to work out time-wise. It's about an hour and a half drive to their house (we're supposed to be there around 11:30), swim, eat lunch, get showered and changed and be at the Gaslight by 2:30. :grimace: I seem to be the only one who sees this as rushed, lol. :lol: Oh, well. The Merry-go-Round never stops, does it? :lol:

you mean closing? nope, this is closing the books. they close the office at 6 so i can do it anytime after. or i could get up early and do it tomorrow am before 9.

Gotcha! I was thinking you'd be closing the books after the dance, instead of after dinner.
Morning all, Up at the crack of dawn, our gardeners mis understood that we didn't want them to come until May 17th to trim the palm trees, well 7:00 AM knock knock knock.....argh....anyway, we are up and showered and dressed...DD has a sleep over, dropping her off at 11:45 AM and get her back tomorrow afternoon. These two girls are so funny together and I adore her family as well....
DS has us all to himself, I know we are going to Home Depot later to purchase the wood for the Loft bed they are making and dh talked to me about take DS to see "Iron Man" at the drive in, and that would leave me ALONE with the house to myself...OMG I can't even fathom.

Yes there aren't many left, but luckily we have one close, its GREAT!

We have the one/only drive-in left in Minnesota. (so were told) Every year the guy who owns it threatens to close it... but every year he opens. This past year he was offered lots of $$ so they could put in a Super Wal*Mart. (right behind my mom's house) He's opened again, but said he may close it if the deal goes through. I'm torn because I like the drive-in... but wouldn't mind having a Super Wal*Mart so close to home either.

I went to my nephew's First Communion today. It was really nice, and I had a good time talking and laughing with other people who went back to my brother's for lunch. I feel a little guilty because I only went because my sister BEGGED me to. It was really a nice day.
Now, I'm home making spaghetti for dinner. I know you're all shocked, but I try to cook a real meal every few weeks. LOL
Mary- I hope it's the path to something great for you and your dh!
Hope you all managed to work out your schedules, and that Ann's dd has a good time tonight!

Was in and out of bed all night with the flu. Slept on and off all day and finally got out of bed at 4:30 this afternoon. Dh has gone to the store to get the dough and stuff for him and the kids to make pizza. I haven't eaten yet so anything sounds good. lol Going to take it easy tonight and watch movies.
Mary, reading what you said, I too think they have something better in store for him. Let us know how it goes.
We have a drive in here about 45 minutes away and try to go each summer. I'm so glad it's there, it's fun to go and the kids get so excited because it's such a treat.
