View Full Version : For those on diets, what does your meal plan look like?
I am looking for ideas on what to eat for lunches. I usually eat Lean Cuisine.
Here is my day:
Breakfast
Coffee w/ 1/4 cup skim milk and 1 TSBP coffemate
2/3 cup organic whole oatmeal, 1/2 banana, 3 frozen strawberries (cover with just enough water and nuke for 2:10 minutes) with 1 tsp brown sugar mixed in
Lunch
left over grilled Mahi Mahi
spinach with cranberry walnut light dressing
Snack
Activia light yogurt
Dinner
Grilled shrimp kabobs
1/2 cup organic basmati rice cooked in chicken broth
tons of lo-cal veggies on the kabobs
Desert
Skinny cow
I think this puts me at 1250 calories.

I never eat breakfast unless it's coffee. (I know, not good) I have a Lean Cuisine for lunch and for supper I usually just have a sandwich (BLT, Grilled Cheese, Chicken) and some soup or a salad. I'm not much for snacks but will usually pop myself some 100 calorie popcorn for a snack at about 8:30. Nothing exciting at all...
This isn't my diet, but pretty much my normal eating habits.
a QUARTER Cup of skim milk AND tablespoon or creamer????
do you truly like coffee?? LOL
when I am being good..
cheerios and berries or yougurt and berries
tuna and sliced avocado, with a salad
or a pbj made with whole grain bread, natural peanut butter, and just fruit jam.
dinner is a meat, veggie and salad

Breakfast: Special K bar or something similar
Lunch: Meat and salad
Supper: Lean Cusine or something similar or another meat (baked) and veggie.
Snacks: 100 calorie snacks or fruit
I basically try to stay away from any white carbs. I eat sweet potatoes or brown rice and I do that sparingly unless they come in the frozen meals.

I added skim milk, so I would lay off the calories of the creamer. We use big coffee mugs too. LOL After it is mixed to perfection, it tastes like hot raspberry chocolate milk.

so, the answer is no..you don't like coffee! LOL
This is what I have been eating for the past few months
Breakfast - 3 oz of espresso, 1 cup steamed 2% milk 3 tsp sugar, 1 banana, and a fiber one yogurt.
Mid morning - usually I have a cup of regular coffee at work, 2 tsp sugar, 1 tsp of non dairy creamer - work coffee is harsh ;)
Lunch - usually a small apple, sandwich or chili or salad and lots of water or straight Ice Tea
Dinner - veggies, 3-5 oz piece of chicken or fish and a cup of rice, more water.
Snacks - fiber one bars, fruit...
I have been bad lately with high sugar/cal snacks, but typically I eat like this.
When I arrive at work I eat an Activia yogurt, with a tea. Sometime @ 10:30/11:00 I'll eat instant whole grain oatmeal with a tsp. of brown sugar and have a large coffee with milk and 1 sugar. Around 12:15 I'll snack on whole grain crackers and cheese (I keep these at work). Anytime between 1:00-1:45 I'll eat a tuna or pb sandwich or Lean Cuisine. Sometime throughout the day I'll eat either an apple or banana. Dinner is pretty much always some kind of meat/veggie, but could also be pasta or soup. I don't snack after dinner, but lately I have been allowing myself a spoonful of ice cream (right now I'm eating Hagandaz(sp?) vanilla caramel latte).
Lots of people like Lean Cuisine. Whats your favorite? I like Lemongrass Chicken. It is part of their spa cuisine.
