Holla! Working. It's sunny and HOT today :yippee:. My car has to go in for the regulated emissions test today. Tomorrow my car has to go in to see about replacing the struts and to check out some funny noise that, I think, the tire is making. If it's not one thing, it's another! Thinking we will take my niece's dog out for a long walk tonight...but we'll see, with this weather. Ds stayed up until 2:45 this a.m. working on a project due second period...he's been behind in this class because of other assignments due. I told him to sleep through first period and I'd call him to get up for 2nd period...7 school days left for him!

Morning! Might sell my car today. We bought an Audi A4 last weekend, and my car is still worth enough that I'm not giving it to one of the many teenagers we have here, so if Car Max will give us a decent price for it, it's theirs.

Also have to pick up my step daughter's birthday cake. She's 17 today. Dh said she wanted money for clothes. I'd be more comfortable with a gift card than just handing her cash, so I'll talk to dh about that in a minute.

Gotta find time this week to celebrate Father's Day and dh's birthday with the kids. He decided at the last minute that he wanted to go to Hawaii for his birthday, so we're leaving on Thursday.

That's about it, better get in gear here!

Not feeling cash? can I ask why? Gift cards are always welcome especially to a teenager, could do a VISA gift card?

Oh How fun. What Islands are you going to? I have been just once, and would love to go back with dh and the kids...I have booked lots of trips for my job though and just love most everything about it...ENJOY

Morning all  we watched "Short Circuit" last night with the kids, it was cute....

I'm glad its Friday it's been a long week, and I wasn't feeling 100%, I took some Zinc and vitamin C and actually feel pretty good today. This weekend might hold some movies for us, kids to Speed Racer, DH and I to SATC...we'll see, my kids are 12 and 10, not sure how it will work...show times are the same..

its funny Fathers Day is next Sunday and so is our 17th Wedding anniversary I had bought tickets to see "YES" in concert, but they have had to cancel as the lead singer is sick...so I need some fun ideas to celebrate both, suggestions welcome...

21 days until vacation

An 01 Lexus RX300 that I drove the cr@p out of. It has 125,000 miles on it, and there are a couple of things on it that need to be fixed that will not be cheap (timing belt, map light, door lock). I'm loving the Audi, though.

She has lost cash that her Dad has given her in the past, and you never really know what it goes for. A Visa gift card might be a good option.

Kauai. Dh is so into this trip! He's planning a helicopter tour, hiking, kayaking....we're just not going to be there long enough to do it all.

I think the kids would be OK to go into a movie next door. I'd do it.

Bummer about the concert...what types of things does your dh like to do?

I have things to do that don't sound interesting to me at all-cleaning bathrooms and going wholesale shopping. It is freaking humid outside, so there won't be much jogging today. :bawling:

Darby got shaved down yesterday and everytime I look at her I get the fits of giggles. She now has a lab coat with a puffy head and a puff at the tip of her tail. Dh called me when he got home yesterday and thought the groomer was playing a rude joke on us. LOL In a way, she is cut like a poodle. She seems ashamed today to be seen, so she has been hanging inside. I keep telling her that she is going to be so much happier with that extremely heavy coat off. The groomer couldn't believe how thick her undercoat was.

I actually got to talk with dd #3 this morning. I haven't seen or hardly talked with her since she started her internship... she's SO busy. She then told me some not so good news  Bob and his partner arrested a 40 some year old woman for disorderly conduct/drunkenness a few nights ago... and she's now accusing one of them of raping her. I KNOW Bob would never do anything like that... nor would his partner. I guess she was very belligerent, she even tried kicking out the windows of their squad car. Anyway... don't know what's going to happen, how anyone's going to prove anything... but ugh! I can't believe this is happening.

Sun's out, but it's suppose to rain again later. I'm going to try to hit a few more yard sales. Hopefully I'll have better luck this morning than I did yesterday. Not looking for anything in particular... maybe a bike with training wheels for Sarah. That will save them the trouble of bringing her's each and every time they come over.

Our night out by ourselves tonight. Not too sure where were going... I'm kind of hoping for Olive Garden, that's my new favorite place to eat. Stopping at Wal*Mart on the way home, otherwise... not much.

I hope you all have a wonderful Friday... Take care.

Amy, it's funny, but I do believe you about Darby being embarrased. I have had my dogs act like that at times! LOL

Diane, how scary and awful!

Amy, funny about the dog.
Diane, how terrible. Hopefully it won't take them long to prove her wrong.
Bev, hope it's nothing major making the noise. I hate it when my van acts funny and am always afraid it's going to be expensive.
Donna, have a great time in Hawaii, what a nice way to celebrate a birthday.
Renee, bummer they canceled the concert. Hope you find something fun to do instead.
I am sitting her instead of doing a million things I should be doing. I needed a break. We all slept in this morning and then had to do the big rush to get everyone out the door. The fun fair at the school was good. They had a great turn out and the rain held off, no kidding, until it was just over. Organizers were just putting the last of everything in their cars when the rain started, talk about luck. lol Ds3 had a blast.
I have a couple loads of laundry to wash/dry before going and some house work to get done on top of bathing ds3 and getting him ready for school. Still need to run to the grocery store but I really am not expecting my brother until close to dinner so I should get it all done. I can't wait!
Have a great weekend everyone :)

It's not the noise I'm concerned about, cost-wise, cause I'm pretty sure it's just the tire, but the struts that we'll feel financially if they need to be replaced :grimace:
Have a great weekend with your family!

Well, I went to prayer meeting this morning. Then went and picked up contacts. I am here working now, but my student hasn't arrived yet, so I thought I would check in here.

My parents have ds and they went to pick up my granny:yippee::yippee: She had a stomach/intestine infection, but they said she is doing much better now. She was ready to eat, so my parents were going to take her to eat after they picked her up and then they are headed home. Thanks everyone for your thoughts and prayers.

As far as I know they don't, but this is the second time she has had it. It is called something ____aticlitis. Darna or something like that I think.?(

Okay... I tried to do a search and all I could find was diver, so maybe it is diver ticulitis.

I was wondering how she was doing... I'm so glad to hear that she's home and doing well. Thanks so much for the update
