It's hit here pretty badly.
It's hit here pretty badly.
AZ was one of the states listed and I hadn't even heard about it. Guess I need to crawl out from under my rock!
The first warnings came out over a week ago. I know that there have been more and more recalls since then.
we don't mess around with salmonella or ecoli around here!
Chipotle has pulled the pico de gallo out of their restaurants down here.
We weren't on the list but I did notice that Wal-mart had pulled all tomatoes today. I usually buy tomatoes still on the vine which weren't on the recall list. Same for cherry tomatoes. Thank God because I had to buy a boat load of them today. I promised my sister I'd make some BLT bites for her wedding reception tomorrow. Spent all afternoon scooping them out so that I can stuff them tomorrow.

I have heard of this, and I have noticed that around here there aren't as many people selling them on the sides of the road.

I just heard about it on the news. I was wondering why there were hardly any tomatoes at the store when I was there today.
Thanks for the warning... :)
Kat, are you sure about the vine tomatoes? There were on the list here and have been pulled from the stores. I just threw out some I had bought the day before I found out about the recall.
The only thing here you can get are the grape or those Tree Sweet cherry tomatoes.

UGH, here too! Their salads just aren't the same without it. I can't wait til they bring it back.

I was going to make BLT's last night for dinner but decided not to use the tomato I had, :( so ended up making something else.
I can't stand a salad without tomatoes either...
