New house, new car, new job, and now click on to find new board set up. It's just too much for my poor little brain to handle right now so bear with me.:\ :crazyroll
We moved some of our stuff to the new place on Sunday but did minimal unpacking. We decided that since it was Canada Day, we would take a late afternoon jaunt to Wonderland, let the kids go on a couple rides and watch the fireworks. Got 'home' late. First night in the new place so no one really slept too well. The next day we dropped the kids off at BIL's and went to get another load of stuff. On the way back Bil who was driving my car was involved in an accident. Not his fault. A bunch of young kids had taken the one boys mothers car and decided to go for a little spin. The oldest of the 6 boys was 15, not even old enough for a learners permit. Bil is ok. Just a bit stiff. The car is a write off. The driver of the other car (15) and one other (13) were killed. (brothers - and only two children in the family). One boy has life thretening injuries and is in a coma, one has a broken arm, and the other two just had a few scrapes and bruises. Very sad situation. :(
Started the new job on Tues. It went really well. The kids are great and very excited about their first day-camp experience. It should be fun.

So, whats with the new set up??( ?( ?( ?(

I'm not sure if I like it or not, but first impression seems to be ok. It will just take some getting use to.

Several mini tornados touched down around here yesterday, but luckly we didn't have any damage. Not far from here the damage was quite extensive.

Best part of this whole thing is I finally got my 'puter back!:yippee:

Sounds like you have lots going on right now! :crazyroll

What a horrible accident your bil was involved in! Glad he is okay, but so sad about the others. :(

Hope you guys get settled in your new house soon. That's one thing I dread about moving - making a new house feel like "home". Hang in there Ryleigh!! :)

Wow Ryleigh, what a week! I am hoping you'll get settled in fast and start "nesting."

What kind of a car are you getting?

I'm glad to hear that your BIL was okay, but SO sad to hear about the other two who didn't make it.. how awful for their parents. Loosing one child would be bad enough but loosing BOTH of your children at the same time would just be so devistating! My thoughts and prayers are with their families. I also hope the other kids who were lucky enough to survive the accident have learned a lesson from this experience and will think twice before ever doing anything that stupid again. :(

I'm glad to hear that everything else is going good for you... the move, the new house, car and the new job! I hope the kids have a lot of fun at day-camp... I'm sure they will. I'm also glad to see that you got your computer back up and running. If I ever moved getting my computer going would definitely be my #1 priority... nothing else would matter. LOL :D

Diane...

Hope things settle down for you soon. Anyone of the new things you mentioned can throw life for a loop but add everything at the same time and I'm surprised that you can even find the time or energy to sit down and type!

I'm glad that your BIL is ok. When I was reading about the accident I was thinking what a bunch of stupid kids! I'm sorry to hear that 2 died and one so serious. I know that I used to do some stupid things when I was young but it was never life threatening! What a way to learn a hard lesson for the ones who weren't hurt and thank God that your BIL wasn't killed for being in the wrong place and the wrong time!

Hang in there Ryleigh. I'm sorry to hear about what happened to BIL but glad that he is okay. I wish that things would have turned out differently for the boys though. I will keep them and their families in my thoughts and prayers. I hope that you get settled into your house soon, and I hope that all foes well with your new job. Keep us updated, and just remember hang in there, it is almost over.:)
