View Full Version : Monday
I have totally forgotten what it feels like to sleep in. I guess the Tim Horton coffee at 3pm didn't help yesterday. LOL So I foresee a nap. If it kills me today, I will finally get to the bathrooms today and scrub the kitchen floor.

Dd#2 starts swim lessons today and she is so excited that she woke up early and put on her swim suit. Other than taking her, I'm hoping to start a new book today. I hope I don't strain myself too much, lol!

FIRST DAY OF SUMMER FOR US!!!! :yippee:
Dd and I are headed to school to help one of her teachers pack up her room, then home to clean this house! Dd has a party to go to tomorrow, and she's bringing 2 girls home for a sleepover, so she's gotta make some dust fly before that.
I work tonight and that's it!
Been up over an hour and can't seem to get motivated. Had a cup of coffee and a piece of peach pie for breakfast. Last week was Peach Festival and I got some fresh peaches and made homemade pies for Father's Day. Man were they good.
It's very cloudy and I can never seem to get going if it's not sunny. Like Amy my bathrooms and kitchen are calling to me. Like Angie I have a new book I could start. We'll see which one wins out. LOL
My house is clean, laundry done, and I am heading to work, now that doesn't sound right does it?
First day YMCA high adventure for dd, she is way excited :yippee:
DS is sleeping in today, helping our neighbor dig up their back yard for a block wall.
Hope everyone has a great Monday.

Cloudy cool and alittle rain.....But I don't mind!

It's only 54 outside but the sun is out and the high's are suppose to get into the 70's, no rain in the forecast until Thursday evening... so it sounds like it's going to be a pretty nice week. :yippee: The only bad thing about that is that I end up spending too much time outside and not enough time in the house doing what needs to be done.
I need to scrub the kitchen/bathroom and hallway floors today. I've got some laundry that needs to be folded and put away. Then... if there is enough time I want to finish trimming the shrubs on the side of the house. I did the front last week but didn't have time to do the side.
I too have a book to read, I'm only on page 60 and still trying to get "into" it. I hate when I have to try so hard to get interested in a book. I like when it grabs me on the first few pages. If it doesn't get better soon, I'm going to start a new one.
Not much else on the agenda. Hope you all have a great day!

Hope you get your nap... and you get the bathrooms/kitchen floor done.
I wish I could sleep in, but drinking coffee isn't my problem. It's like I've got this built in alarm clock that wakes me up at 5:30 each and every morning... and I just can't make myself fall back to sleep. I must not need that much sleep...
Diane, I envy your no rain til Thurs. forecast. We have had rain every day except Sat. since Thurs. and we're getting more today and the rest of the week calls for rain every other day with temperatures only reaching between 60-70 :bawling:.
Working. Need to get some food shopping done this evening.

Bev- send your rain this way...we need it bad.
Not a lot going on here today...back to applying for some different jobs. There is two that I need to apply for today or tomorrow. Either one would be great. Neither is teaching. One is a secretarial type job, but is Mon-Fri in this town with benefits, the other is a counselor type job, it is odd hours and in another town, but has room for advancement....(I am sounding like Ann...LOL...J/K)
At this point, I can't afford to be choosy, so I will take either, and I think I would like both.
Have a great day everyone!
