What you do drive and do you like it, love it or hate it?

We have had WAY too many over the years. When we were overseas we just bought "beatter" cars that would last about 6 months and they only cost about $500. We have also had several nicer cars but for some reason we didn't keep them very long either.

We had an Isuzu Rodeo in NC and I really liked it but it was only 2 wheel drive so be traded it in as soon as we got to Alaska and now we have a Ford truck- full size with the third door. I love it! Couldn't imagine not owning a truck now!

I have a Suburban...fought getting it tooth and nail. I wanted the Chrysler Town and Country..didn't want a big old truck. Well, now you couldn't take that truck away from me!!! I love it!!
DH has an Explorer...great as a two seater cause the back seat is really small..even dd complains about no leg room. I like the way it drives, but we are getting rid of it next month. DH has decided to get a pick up truck.

I currently drive a van. It's about 9 1/2 years old with lots of miles, and now I'm looking for something smaller that I can drive to work with better gas mileage. I have loved the van, but we don't need the room that we used to, and it'd be good for a back-up vehicle and to have for my daughter to use. I don't really know what I want. So I look forward to seeing what people have, that they like or hate. Thanks for asking.

I am a minivan gal. 2000 Toyota Sienna. I love it. The seats fold down/come out really easy for lots of room.

We have a '98 Dodge Caravan and '00 Explorer. The van is supposed to be "mine", but I actually drive the Explorer more and love it. The van has the "4th" door, which I really like having, especially with two car seats.

We have a 93 Chevy suburban, 4 wheel drive. Dh had a 91 Chevy pickup but he traded it for a Buick skylark when he took the new job. He hated to give up his baby, although he babies this car now too. We're currently looking at getting a 89 Pontiac Sundance so we don't have to drive the Sub as much. I think we could save money taking 2 cars to go somewhere than taking the suburban once. The sub only gets 14 mpg and dh's car gets 36 mpg. We won't get rid of the sub though because we need the 4 wheel drive for winter weather and mud.

And I'll tell you honestly, there's nothing grand about it, LOL!! We've had the engine replaced, (threw a rod), the radiator doesn't do all it needs to do out here in the heat, the bearings have gone, the axels have needed replaced, numerous sensors have gone kaput and it occasionally dies for no reason and won't start for a few hours. ?(

Dh drove a skanky Subaru station wagon up until a month ago and then he got a 2001 Toyota Echo! It's the first new car either of us have ever had and we're in awe of it. It's wonderful and almost worth the payments. Dh commutes to work two hours a day four days a week and he's been getting 42 miles per gallon, which beats the heck out of the 13 mpg he was getting in the old rattletrap Subaru. The one drawback we've discovered is that by the time it is paid off in 5 years it will have over 180,000 miles on it! :\ Yikes!

I drive a 1999 Oldsmobile Sillouette. We bought it brand new. I love the 4th door (electronic) also......but I love LEATHER seats!!! If I had one thing from now on it would be leather seats in my vehicle.

Dh drives something.... it is gray/purple, a Buick I think, 4 doors?? LOL :D

I drive a 2000 Nissan Quest minivan. LOVE IT!!!! It even has the built in tv/vcr for the kids. I have always had great luck with Nissans/

Dh drives my old car I got in college!! Its a 1989 Nissan Sentra and boy is it ugly now! LOL His co-workers pick on him, but he does get 38 mpg and there is no payment and the insurance is low. His co-workers all have $400 monthly payments and $800 insurance payments.

DH drives a Ford F-350 company truck. So technically we only own one vehicle. That's my 93 GMC Jimmy (a 4 wheel drive SUV). Only a couple of minor problems with it so far but we can tell it's getting ready to need work and we were hoping to trade it in prior to that. We'll need something that can fit 4 and haul a boat so it will need to be another SUV or truck. Can't go with a gas efficient car because then we'd still need another vehicle for the boat. We're talking about a hybrid SUV but had hoped to give the automakers another couple of years to work out the bugs in them.
If DH switches jobs then we will keep the Jimmy and get a cheap car for me. Mainly because he would lose about 7 dollars per hour in wages for the first year and his company truck but I'd need a vehicle to go back to work in.
In a nutshell - we don't know what we're doing!

I drive a Ford Taurus. 1992, I think. It's fine. Cars are SO not my thing, as long as I can get from point A to point B safely, I don't care. (I do kinda like that the car is purple.) DH drives the van, a Ford Aerostar. 1990. He loves it! We are having to get something else because it doesn't have shoulder seat belts in the back, and ds needs to move to a booster. DH is so bummed. It's great for the skis, golf clubs, dog, etc., etc.

I drive a 93 Pontiac Grand Prix, and there is nothing grand about it either. Dh says we will never own another Pontiac. The brakes pads have to be changed constantly. The alternator has to be changed almost once a year. The computer just went out, and the window motor went out right before that, but on that note, it is paid off and has low insurance, so we will be keeping it for awhile longer. Dh drives a 92 Ford Ranger. He loves it, but since we have gotten back to FL, we have had to put a new exhaust system from the catalitic (sp) converter back on it. We have also had to put a whole new brake system on the rear, and now the clutch is acting up, so we have to take it in to be looked at tomorrow. We will also be keeping that vehicle for awhile too because it is paid off with low insurance and right now we can't aford the payments.

I drive a yellow Escape. It is great!! Have been driving vans for
years and I like my little SUV. My kids call it the yellow banana.
One thing for sure, I have always been able to find it in the parking lot!

I drive a 2000 Exployer. It is the 3rd one we've owned. I love it! It is so easy for me to get in and out of with my bad back. Looked at the new ones the other day with the 3rd row seating. Really like it. That may be what we get when we trade.

We have a Ford Windstar minivan. Looked into many options and read many reviews. All came back to say that this one was the safest on the road. With 3 kids, it sure is a blessing!

Dh drives an 94 Dodge Caravan. It's got over l75,000 miles on it but it still run's terrefic. It's hardly ever given us any problems at all. I drive a l987 La Barron and it just turned over 50,000 miles on Tuesday. I LOVE it... except I wish it had automatic door locks and window controls. Dh has been drooling over the new Chrysler 300M for quite some time... so after he finally gets it I'll probably start driving the van and leave the La Barron as an extra to whoever needs to use it. My oldest dd drives a l998 Stratus and absolutely loves it, and middle dd drives a l995 Saturn... and also loves it. WAY too many car's. LOL :)

I drive an 86 dodge ram 50. It has cured me of ever wanting to buy another dodge of any year. My wife drives a nice Nissan Altima. Her car has been for the most part trouble free. The Ram on the other hand is another story that I won't jump into. I would like a newer GM or Buick mid size car.
