View Full Version : Funny things Kids say!!!
I wonder why??? went so well we thought we would send you more laughs.
When the twins were 3 they called roast beef, reeseboaf.
when we saw an oppsum cross the road, they said,"Oh look a
pop-som"!
They call roller coasters, coaster rollers.
Lemmon aid was "ellamaid" or "Ema laied".
Watter mellon was "water lemon"
For some reason when they were 2 they called candy,"Ginkos"
We always spoke english don't know where that one came from?
When one of the twins were 10 months old, he used to crawl
on the dinner and eat everybodys left overs and say, "gump,
gump, gump gump. For two years we nick named him "Gumpy
Tristan got out his stethoscope because he wanted to listen to Lainie's "heart beeps."
ds called the vaccuum a "VIVA" and would dance around the house pushing it for two years,
dd calls soap "POSE" I still haven't figured out why...LOL
The other day after an early morning shift I had fallen asleep on the couch, with the kids sitting on my lap watching tv. Pretty soon they woke me up, and said, "Mom, would you please either stop snoring, or go to bed!" I got up and went to bed.

We were outside one day when suddenly one of my day care kids frantically raised her arm up to the sky and started shreiking... arm pain, arm pain, over and over again. I'm looking at her arm looking to see where the pain could be coming from when I realized that their was an AIRPLAIN up in the sky... LOL THAT was her arm pain. :)

In my kitchen we have a china hutch that seems to collect more things that we don't want to lose track of than china. It's very common to hear me or dh say put it in the china hutch. My dd always gets it mixed up and says 'hina chutch'

That's funny. Years ago my 20 year old son used to ask for a "gump" (drink). If he was really thirsty it was "gump de gump". Like you, I don't know where they come up with some of the things they say.

My youngest dd called her bottle a "gotten-gah". One day when we were out shopping we heard this other kid screaming "gotten-gah"... "gototen-gah". We couldn't believe our ears.. LOL We followed the childs screams and when I asked the parents what his "gotten-gah" was they told me it was HIS bottle. Thought that was kind of wierd. LOL

I don't have any kids to tell you funny things about, so I will just tell you what I said when I was little. My mom said I used to call oranges bapples. She said she never knew if I wanted an apple or an orange.

My kids always called apples bapples too, so have other kids I knew. What was funny was the day dh figured out what a bapple was-- he was so proud of himself, lol!
When my sister was little she couldn't pronounce the letter s- she substituted with an "h" sound. So I was "M'Hell" and when she wanted to go get a Slurpee she would say, "wanta go to Heaven Eleven and get Hurpees?"

My middle dd had a hard time with her T's and would always use the F in it's place. One day when we were out talking with our neighbor a big truck happened to be going down the street and she yelled out in her loudest voice, "WOOW Tom... look at that big F---! LOL Needless to say, we really worked on the T sound after that. LOL
Another cute story happened when my middle dd was just about two years old. Having three dd's, they had never had the opportunity to see a *****. One day as I was changing one of my dck's (boys) diapers she happened along and got all excited because little Ronnie had a "blue tail". (she didn't know her colors real well yet) I told her what it was but she continued to think it was a blue tail. One day we were out talking to (the same) neighbor and I couldn't BELIEVE she looked directly at him and asked him if he had a blue tail THEIR (and points at it) too. Ugh... kids can be SO embarrassing! LOL
I love hearing all your stories. Their all so cute. :)
