Thanks Ann, yes we are ok, no damage here.

it was a long rolling kind, I was at work, about 30 minutes away, my kids were freaked out, both home today, I have a great neighbor, but I all the phones were down, and no cell phone usage...that freaked me out so I left work and rushed home...half way home I got a text message from my neighbor that both kids were at her house, everyone was fine....not to worry...Bless her heart...by the time I got home they had been interviewed by the CBS news....I saw them in the background while my neighbor was interviewed....

Funny thing about Earthquakes, you don't know when they will hit, or how long they will last....this one seemed unusually long, I was in my office at my desk....I saw my door start to close, I got up and in the door way...the gals in the Marketing department started to squeal....then we all were in the hallway under our door jams..laughing at how long it was lasting...when it finally stopped it was probably 40 seconds long I found out that it was centered in my town...where both my kids were home dd hasn't been feeling well...that's when I started calling and when I couldn't reach them it was like when they were small and had gotten separated at a store...that fear and panic is so awful.

thanks for asking.

I can totally understand you holding your babies. I remember on 9/11 all I could think of was getting home and holding my kids even though there was no danger what so ever for my kids.

I was at school working and had my TV on when they interrupted programming with the news. When they told the epicenter, I thought OMG that's where Renee is!
Glad that everyone is OK.

Glad to hear all is well in your neck of the woods.

I didn't freak a bit when I heard the news, having been through a lot of earthquakes, I usually don't think anything about them (unless they are really big.) Then today at work the big bosses were asking around about people who had family members in that area and if they needed to go home on emergency leave, I kind of freaked out thinking the earthquake must have been really bad. (I'm sure it was scary.) Then I started reading more news blips and I still can't figure out why the big bosses were freaking out. ?(

Yeah it was a mild one considering some of the major ones we have had...5.4 really isn't that big, just felt longer than usual to me.

I'm so glad it wasn't a major one and that everyone is okay. Poor kids, I would've been freaked too!
