I'm sure some one is posting as I type. I just saw the weather....That's alot of Rain in central U.S. hope everyone is safe and dry.

Yesterday was such a long boring day at work...we were all exhausted 3 hours in. Man I need a weekend already...LOL.

Well have a great day!

Today another day of bliss! Ds said he did fine once he got on the bus. He said he did cry once at school when he broke his granite turtle he got from Belize. The teacher promised to hot glue it and I guess he was fine after that. It is a little unnerving to go into the school year, not meet the teacher and not know the plan. I am depending a lot on the SE teacher to be that person. Come to find out Open House is on Dd's b-day and I will be at Disney with her. I will have to rely on dh going and giving me the run-down.

We're been crazy bust too. I'm ready for a vacation from everyday life, but that won't be happening any time soon. I have NO clue how parents cope with everyday life while toting their kids around to activities all the time. Ds is playing football and it's been kicking our butts. I guess when you pile that on top of a parent that is out of town all the time, two parents who are taking online classes, 2 kids with homework and 1 kid in a sport, life can get crazy! LOL I think I need about 5 more hours in each day.

Ann- I'm wondering how the firings went as well.

the instigator threw everyone under the bus. said she wasn't drinking..yeah, she just supplied the alcohol!
the 17 year old was fairly low key. did ask if this would effect future empolyment references..ya think?
the other girl just sobbed. she immediately took responsibility and aplogized. we think she thought she was just going to be reprimanded and she gave an audible gasp when she was fired. even the GM started trying to comfort her. she was so excited about working here and was really good. we might see if after a 'probation' period we can hire her back.
the other one still doesn't know. he couldn't come in yesterday

Ann, so apparently none of them talked to each other before going in? Wow.

Good day at work. Dd has golf tonight and I will go to her back to school night.

Wow Ann! Do you have any new hires yet?

I spent the morning working on getting donations for the catering gig I have on Sunday. It's such a pain to have to get everything donated. Oh well...

I ran to Sam's club and picked up a few things, dd's have a game to cheer at tonight. I hate games on school nights!

I have family in Texas.... make me an offer too, and me and Cathy can both be hired. You would only have 2 more to hire.

I picked my mom up by 9:00 to take her and Bruno to the vets for his shots. On the way home we stopped at the consignment shop. My mom got a few real nice winter shirts, and I got 3 very nice, (two of them were new... still had the tags on them) dress shirts that will look real nice with my black dress pants. I'm thinking I might also buy a blazer... thinking it would dress it up a bit more. Came home and sat on my butt and read... almost finished my book, but not quite. I tore down the rest of the ugly wall paper... and it looks soooo much better without. We'll probably spray the ceiling this weekend and prime and paint... then time for the carpet. I'm thinking that if we keep working at it, we should probably be done within the next couple of weeks. :yippee: Can't wait for that!!!

Not much else. I hope you all had a wonderful day today. Tomorrow's Friday already... what a nice short week... ;)

How many rooms are ya'll doing, Diane? Two and the hall? It amazes me how much you do on your own!

three rooms and the hall... last year we updated the bathroom that's attached to the hall that goes into the offices... so that whole level will have been updated by the time were done. We've always done all of our own renovations.

The biggest renovation I think we've ever done was to cut two big holes in our house and installing two sliding glass doors... that was kind of scary seeing we'd never done anything like that before.
